What do you think is the best story you have ever posted to date?

Well, my best written story in my opinion is 'The Window.' Not always appealing to men, but definately a story both personal to me, and an accomplishment for me in working out various 'ways of seeing.' God, I toiled over this one. LOL

On the other hand, I am still infatuated with 'The Screening,' and everytime I see a piece of it peering from a notebook, or a sentence sticking out from a draft in a hardcopy file, I have to laugh, "Jesus, did I write that?"

I'm working on my best piece now, it's humor, a genre I should stick to.

I wish someone would tell me! The most votes, consistently high, have gone to A Date for the Prom although its sequel, Tell Me I Can Hope is scoring slightly higher. I'm not ashamed of any of my stories, but the one that I think gave me most satisfaction so far was my chapter of the 'Talisman' Chain Story, Lucy McFey, where I tried to convey a sense of both time and place.

Well, I only have 4 stories posted, and three of them are part of a series.

But I like my Changed series. I think I'm developing a fixation on one of the characters. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

There is no doubt about my WORST - White Scut.

The votes say 'Flawed Red Silk Ch 08 - Unwashed is Best' is my best story.

I think that my two part story 'Danger! Naked Woman Ch.01 and 02' is my best but I have a soft spot for 'Brigit' and 'The Giant Squid'.

Links to all in my signature. There are over 80 stories there and then I have a few as jeanne_d_artois.

I'd say it's a toss up between my Earth day story, the first one I ever wrote (A Flame Mastered), or a couple of chapters of my novel. All have pretty good scores and have been complimented on being well written and enjoyable.

I don't think I've written my best here yet. My other writing tends to take all my muse to do...

Probably Second Time Around, my highest-scoring, or The Gift. Both of them pleased me and seem to have pleased the readers, too. They're both first-person, which doesn't suit everyone. As Helen (Just-Legal) said, I like to think I haven't written my best yet!

Vella,
I gave this "She Had Had Enough" a look, and left my comment - once I'd stopped laughing. Good sense of humor you have there.
:rose: (Just one rose so I don't upset anybody:D )

My best is my bio - "One Big Chip", but it would never make it on here, though the E-Book sells well for me on adult sites, and helps pay med school fees.

Thanks for advertising that or I'd probably have missed it.

There is not a shread of doubt in my mind that the absolute best story I have ever posted to date is Letters from Pohjola.

LOL - I wonder why?

Still waiting for you to get off that sweet ass of yours and finish the one you promised all of us two days ago!!!

I have dozens that have never been posted, simply because they are unfinished. Of the few that I have submitted Tha Boat would be, in my oppinion, my best work. And it is still unfinished as I have ideas to continue it.

Like some of the others have said, I think I can write better than what is up so far. But for now, I like my Sticks & Stones novel best because it is a real story.
Chapter 1

Not my best, certainly not in votes, but I like it because it is kind of dreamy. The Ocean Spirit

My best one is still pending. 5 to 7 days my ass. :D

Sheesh Og,

Seriously, l laughed reading White Scut. I kept imagining some poor soul hitting story spinner and ending up with that...

It's a classic. Don't be so hard on yourself. LOL

I f**king loved it!!!!!!

It's so different, it deserves its own category.

Oh, and my fave \/ \/ look below :D M.I.K.E.

I have two favourites here, in two different genres. My favourite erotic horror story is The Letting. The other is a BDSM story, Public Humiliation.

Lou

Don't know why I thought The Letting was the dog story, but sheesh!!

Was the dog story yours Tate? The dog at the barbecue...?

Anyway... loved The Letting and remember reading it months ago.

Still as good the second time 'round.

Not anymore. Maybe it's time for you to reconsider your answer to this thread. :D

Yes, the dog at the barbeque story is mine. That one's called Faithful. The Letting is the vampire bitch one.

Thanks a lot for giving it a second read, hon!

Of the few that I have posted, my personal favorit is "Senior Lovers."

It was my first post, and full of typos, misspelled words and homonims. I had submited a story for edit and it came bach in shreds, so, befor I totaly lost my nerve I submited it without edit.

Since it has done so well in spite of all the errors, I am afraid to edit it, maybe the errors are part of it's charm.
