This is a good way to meet people who have more in common. Everyone who wants to post your religion here. Maybe you'll beable to find someone who believes what you believe?

I myself am pagan/wiccan. I believe in many things and I worship the Goddess Lady Hecate.

Next!

I believe in a lot of stuff too. Like, I do believe Christ existed, but that he was a prophet like Nostradomus. Yes, I love the craft and I worship the Goddess Lady Hecate, however my father forbade me to use magic in his home, so I have to wait till I get my own apartment to complete my dedication ceremony.

I'm a Christian.
I believe in one God and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God,
not just a prophet ;)

Atheist. I really can't see any benefit to faith in some unseen presence, or by kidding yourself that there's something out there looking after you (or for that matter blighting you)

I don't believe that the Goddess and God are an unseen presence. Just take a look around, they are present in everything. When you spend time outdoors, you can feel how spiritual nature is. It is a beautiful thing. :)

Yea. I believe in the five levels of existence:

Level 1: Us, common sinners and mortal humans.
Level 2: Shamans, druids, and anything or anyone that is more at one with the Creative Power than normal mortals.
Level 3: The Lesser Gods. Basically, the Greek Gods of legend are the Lesser Gods. Many people worship Hestia, Goddess of hearth and home.
Level 4: The God and Goddess, the Lord and the Lady.
Level 5: The Creative Power, the force that is in everything everywhere.

Secular Humanist Jew (not of Jewish heritage, but chose to be a member of the Jewish people).

Western religions SUCK!

I would consider myself spiritual, open to many different "earth based" beliefs such as wicca or native american beliefs. Buddhism, while toted as a religion, has many great qualities - a belief in compassion and NONVIOLENCE (yeah that is what sets it apart from the western religions). The Dalai Lama ROCKS.

athesists rule

Im an atheist.

Religion is for those who want a meaning to live and a feeling of loving friendship that our society doesnt give us.

Julie

I am a little complicated on the issue, but i guess the best way to put it into words is to say that i am a pluralist, i believe that faith is subjective, and made that way on purpose. I think the main question is not "what faith are you" as so many western religions make it into, but rather the question is "how well do you follow what you believe, whatever that may be."

And as for the big question, what do i "believe," i guess the best way to put it would be to say that i believe there is a God, and I believe that's all that matters. Everything else is just how people choose to understand God.

This belief comes from a variety of teachings, as well as my own observations, but certainly readings from The Dalai Lama have been important here.

Nostradomus wasn't a prophet, he was a clairvoyant, if you believe in that sort of thing.

Nostradomus was whatever each person chooses to believe he was. In that way, there really is no "was" or "wasn't." (Did anyone follow that? Cause it gave me a headache and i am the one who said it, loll)

Religion

I would say I am no religion. I do believe in God, but do not go to church.

I'm me, and I'm going to be me as hard as I can. I believe that there is no god or powerful being watching out for us. I believe Nostradomus was a vague liar. I believe most religions are out for their own greed. There is no Hell. There is no Valhalla. There is nothing after this, guys and galls. If you say, "the evidence is all around you!" it simply means that you're more able to believe in an invisible man in the clouds than the possibility of random chance in unfathomable periods of time. Actually, I think that most religions, if anything, corrupt mankind and drag the worst out in him. If I just had to believe in someone, I believe in myself. This isn't because I see myself as some form of god or anything other than some fucked up animal with a name and the ability to think, it's because every time I've ever asked any god for anything, I ended up being the person to do whatever it was for myself. No god gave me any extra ability, any higher thinking to do the task...shit, I never even got a pep talk. I just gave up the bullshit and did it. Oh, I didn't mention this, but I'm still in that hostile stage of losing faith. George Carlin can do that to you sometimes.

I'm a Jew - somewhat observant, with an orthodox background.

I'd also like to point out that a man like the Dalai Lama would never condone a statement that any religion, or set of religions "sucks." I happen to have a great deal of respect for the Dalai Lama, but I wouldn't elevate Buddhism so far above other religions. For one thing, it is extremely intolerant of homosexuality, as the Dalai Lama himself has mentioned. For another, it is an offshoot of Hinduism, which is as violent as any other religion, western or otherwise. On a personal level, I have trouble with a set of beliefs that so strongly embraces the idea of nothingness.

But if you're a fan of Buddhism, you should visit Sarnath, the place where Buddha gave his first sermon. It's quite amazing.

I'm ex-Catholic. Appreciative of Christianity's influences on Western civilization, but fairly indifferent to religion now.

I would have to agree with you Angel138. I don't go to church because they are nothing but after your money.
