What do you like to go out and do with your friends?

For me I love to go out dancing. I feel so carefree out on the dance floor, a feeling so hard to describe.
But some of my best nights are in my own home with a group of close friends. I thrive on being the hostess. Intimate gatherings with good friends, tasty food, great music and of course good wine among other drinks. I think I am long overdue for a get together.

Well, we usually go out get a burger and hit the theater or the mall. Maybe after that go hit the pool hall and play and chat it up there.

Then we go to the house and they all wanna play my PS2.

When is it my turn to play my PS2, guys?

Beer, Pool, Big-Screen Football (soccer)....then on to a club for beer, spirits, dancing and girls.....
then to the local indian takeaway for kebab and chips...
then back home for the PS1/PS2

now thats a fun night....

or skip the PS2 if you have managed to pull a lovely young lady.... ;)

It all depends on my mood. Lately, I've been into sitting with friends and Xan, playing N64, drinking, talking, having fun in a small group.

But, there's also the other side of the kitten that likes to get out and dance, cause a little trouble now and again.

In or out a get together with good friends, good food, good wine and most importantly good conversation and bonhomie beats jsut about anything else.

The occasional wild night out doesn't do any harm either;)

Pool, a few drinks, a few friends... and that waitress that keeps passing our table... *heh*

That's my idea of a good night out. :)

Varies by mood. I've spent very enjoyable nights in Borders, walking around and reading anything that catches my eye or I've been meaning to find for a long time.
Another very good night is heading out to whatever club has some good Drum and Bass or Jungle playing, and just going wild on the dance floor. It's exhilarating, sometimes I feel like I could dance all night, and sometimes I do :)
Yet another is going out on a cloudless, ~60 degree night and just walking around slowly, or laying on my back looking at the stars. I love sitting alone with the peace and quiet, and thinking about the way everything works, and pondering the parts of the process that I don't know yet.

Nights can be very good.

OMG I feel so lame....

Sitting here trying to think of what to post and I can't come up with anything.

I've had so few nights out.
in Highschool was a loaner stayed at home.
In college Had to decline ever time was asked to go out and do somthing cause I had work.

Fly - I'd get you out of the house...

You'd like it... siting in Fridays - looking at the waitresses ass as she walks by - telling vulgar jokes... :)

No need for house flys! :D

Someone after my own heart. House and techno are good
musics too, but one of the best nights I've had recently was
going to see Devin Townsend (http://www.hevydevy.com) play his extreme (in a "wow, how many guitars are
playing at once" kinda way) metal in London. Savage moshing
all round.

A nite out?

Well maybe start out at my fav local bar for a beer, then eat a few wings. Grab the wife and go to her fav place...have a beer, maybe eat a few chicken strips. Then go to a night spot ....have a few beers, maybe eat a burger. Finally call a friend and invite myself over.....have a few beers. Go home and puke......Nothing like a great nite out.....

The site looks interesting. Is there any music of theirs floating around on the 'net, for those of us a little further from Oxford?

Now this sounds like fun to me. I tend t get lost in the music. Once I hit the dance floor there's no stopping me!:D

Hey and Foxy, any night out with you and Juicy would be an all night blast! *The trouble the three of us could get in*;)

a night on the town with the fearsome fivesome

my very best friends and i make up a very tight knit circle of five. these are the people i love most in the world. we've been friends for about 8 years. we can call each other up and arrainge to get together for "the usual" and everyone knows what that means.

we gather at one person's house. once everyone is there and we've spent a few minutes chit-chatting, catching up, hugging, etc, we begin to "fight" about where to go to dinner. it's not a real fight, but we can never agree at first so it always takes a lot of discussion, and can get heated sometimes.

when we finally decide where we're going we all pile into one of my friend's car -- an ancient vw bus-- and head for the restaurant. we spend way too much time there, eat too much, laugh too hard, and generally have a ball.

then we drive to this great multiplex which is in a building that was once a theatre. we get in line, start arguing over what movie to see, and usually don't decide until we're actually at the ticket counter.

after the movie we go to Mel's Drive In (a 50's style restaurant chain) for coffee/milkshakes/whatever. we pay for like 5 songs on the jukebox and never leave until we've heard them all.

then we go to the beach. the beach is a great place at night, especially when it's not too windy. if it's freezing we stay in the van, laugh at the people who have come to make out in their cars, and generally just hang out. if it's nice we go down to the ocean.

of course we do different things, but some of my best memories are exactly like the evening i just described. tame, yes, but incredibly fun.

You just brought back memories of wonderful days gone by. My close group of friends and I used to do similar things, right down to not being able to agree on where to eat or even where to go.
Unfortunately, most of my closest girlfriends all live in different states. Thank goodness for email......so we can catch up and laugh about the old days.

Nice meal...... good friends....... interesting conversation.... and a whole lot of laughter :)

Just an idea of a night out

So, here is an idea of what happens when I go out…when I do, ugh!

7:00 pm

I am at Union Square to meet friends for a birthday party. We are meeting @ Zen Palace for dinner before drinks @ who knows where? The place is like a Chinese palace and the music is meditating. The texture and warmth of the wood is inviting and the table is atop a maze of levels that take you through different sections that evoke the feeling of being in a tower. My friends and I had dinner and as nice as it was I was unable to fully relate to their ideals and careers in life (we use to work together, but through the years we keep in touch.)

10:20 pm
We leave the restaurant to go to a bar for drinks afterwards. The cool summer air and the city is alive, but the area we are in is quiet. I want to take a hot poker and singe the moment and watch it glow before me. We finally arrive @ Z-bar and the air is pungent with that lounge feel. Although it is quite trendy and the people are plastic we settle in. The interior is a deep red and has vintage furniture and fixtures (you may have liked it). The night feels welcoming with friends and they speak of our past outings: We were at a bar in the Lower East side dancing. I met this funky girl with pink hair named Pixy and we start dancing. Actually, we were dry humping and sensually feeling the bodies of each other of two strangers connecting in a sense. We almost get kicked out since dancing was not allowed and I lift her and swing her around. What a hoot! My conservative friends will never let me down. They were speaking of the norm in life, but Margaret feels uncomfortable when I talk about my writings and the photo shoot I have done. They have seen some of my writings and say how raw and sensual it is and how no one is like me (I give a wicked grin and let the candles dance in my eyes like a flame). Margaret thinks I am filthy and I need a woman who is jaded and corrupt as me. She finds me attractive, but she is quite conservative (I want to corrupt her and teach her what hunger is, but she will never be willing to submit and channel her sensuality, that is why we are friends, lol!). The night slips by and I am charmed with my friends who have no reflection of me, but they are friends indeed. I try to tell them always that life is sensual and that simplicity is being at the waterfront and looking for bits of things that can create a world of texture (They just go to Pottery Barn, ha!).

12:46 pm
After too many martinis and the need to rest this luscious head I am on my way home...

Anything I do with my friends or family is fine with me, nothing specific.

I don't mind hanging out at home with any of them either, make them a nice meal, talk, drink, whatever.

Thank you for sharing.......

The simple action of sharing is noble, but to tell a person thank you, gives a twinge of a smile. It was a typical night, but I like the way life is just a flurry of unexpected experiences. Hello Lit! With a soft smile and gentle tappings on the keys. I like this thread because it addresses what we do in perspective and not all havig to make a point. The point is…OMG, you wankers are knowing too much of me, maybe! :p

Knowing too much about you? Maybe. That is only for you to decide. But I enjoyed reading what you shared nonetheless.;)

A fun night to me is to fulfill a fantasy with my sweetheart such as going to a lounge, wait for him to pretend he doesn't know me and let him pick me up. After the music gets going, dancing........After awhile, it is fun to start dirty dancing and watch the people's faces (Love that part)..........At the end of the night, I let him take me home and have his way with me (and visa versa)
We usually take turns setting the stage for the night.............:p

i like to go out and have a few drinks, dance, listening to bands play or even karaoke. sometimes i might sing, sometimes i like to just listen to other people.

i also like to go out and rock and bowl.

I used to go to Karaoke all the time. But I had to drink lots of saki (sp?) before I would go up and sing. All I could ever sing was the Eagles, Hotel California.:D
