What is your favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal?

Hey! Turkey Day is right around the corner, folks, so
step right up and take this poll!

Okay for starters!

I like more than one option..........

*my mom's stuffing........she gets very creative with it
year to year.......last year she put in dried cherries, which
was yummy........

*my Nana's homemade apple pie........yummylicious!

*my mom's homemade cranberry sauce....w/ whole
cranberries w/ a touch of orange......

*my Grandma's homemade and inventive peach pie.......
super-duper!!!


However this year is going to be different......the first time
in years ....well, at least since I started walking, we won't
be having turkey day at my house......we'll be heading over
to my uncle's house and the word I got is that there is going
to be tons of food, and even more desserts including
pumpkin cheesecake....!!!

Should be interesting!!

I've seen "The Bounty" on Bravo once before.......over
the summer to be exact......good movie.....Sir Tony looks
yummy, and a young Mel Gibson looks......WOWWWW!


Anyhow......the biscuits sound yummy!!!! And the cranberry
shortcake too!!!

it's that time after the meal..........we have all pigged out.....really quite satisfied........we lay around the house.......I tend to drift away from all the others, to a part of the house that is quiet..........and consider where I have been this year, those who have mattered most.........it is then that I give thanks......perhaps a bit selfish, but it is me...............and then I get sleepy.........but no, pull myself back, and rejoin the others, and am then thankfull in a larger way.................

I love the turkey, ham, dressing (is this a southern thing) chocolate ice box pies, pumpkin pies, deviled eggs,mashed potatoes and just about any other kind of dessert that I might have forgotten.

I like the dressing with the raisins in it (without meat) that my mom makes and i as well like the dressing my Auntie Taina makes, she makes this sweet cornbread dressing with crushed pineapple, raisins and crushed pecans (she's from the West Indies)

I also won't say no to pumpkin pie with kool whip..LoL Or real mashed potato's with butter.

I've been okay.....trying to hang in there........am working
overnite shift wednesday nite but have off thanksgiving
thru the weekend, and will be headed back to work
Tuesday, when I go back to my old work schedule
(Tuesdays 3-9pm, then overnites Wednesday nite thru
saturday mornings)....however come December I will
be off from the night off 12/20 thru 1/6/03 Yay!!!
