What is this Tech Thingie?

About two months ago, I began to see a wearable device of some sort at work. It looks like a dark plastic torc with pointed, transparent ends. I assumed it was another phone attachment, but the points don't look particularly suited to placing in the ear. I've seen wearable speakers/sub-woofers, but never ones that were light, small, and portable.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It is a bluetooth earbud system that features storage for the earbuds in the ends of the torc; that can cause the ends to look transparent when the earbuds are in use.

I knew that answer because I had the same question you did and researched one last Christmas. I eventually settled on a less obtrusive bluetooth earbud system:
