What is this about?

Just now, I started looking at my home page to see if I had any new PC. Under many, but not all of the stories was this note:

* Tags/Keywords For The Above Submission *

I know what these things are, descriptive phrases describing the story to help somebody find it. I have left them on some but maybe not all but I have never been hassled to include them before.

You probably can't null them, but you only need one so far as I know. At the very least, I know you don't have to fill them all out to avoid this warning because some of mine did not have full comment boxes.

You can probably get away with just putting your author name into one of the tag boxes and be done with it. If not, use the words from the title of the story to fill out enough boxes.

Apparently they're politically correct. I tried entering "having his baby" as a tag for "A Special Christmas Present" but kept getting it rejected.

It's the word "baby" I had that issue with one of my stories as well. It's likely other words like "child" and such are also restricted.

Okay, I added some tags to one of my stories, four altogether. It would not accept "child bride" but it did accept others. It apparently wants me to add a total of ten or twelve.

There are a lot of database issues going on right now. I mentioned in another thread that if you watch the overall toplist, you see troll votes being annihilated and scores rising throughout the day. The database search and destroy is probably slowing down all other regularly scheduled functions somewhat.

My latest story hasn't posted to my author index, for example. H's are slow to appear, N's slow to dissapear. Anything to do with the database is fighting to get through.

At least that's my guess from what I can see from this side of the box.

Yesterday I added tags to some of the first stories in the index. The requests that I add the tags have not gone away. There have been some tags added, apparently by computer, but they are pretty useless.

Well, what can you do. I don't care for where they are placed, but I figure that I should use them, anyway. So I use them.
