What is the "News Updates" tab about under "My Authors Activity" on the story side?

This is what it says when I click on it.

On this tab, you'll see News updates from authors you follow.

It looks like none of your authors have posted any News yet.

I follow 23 authors, and several have posted stories and made changes to their profiles in the last few months. How does an author "post news?"

I think that's what we call an "unimplemented feature." Or a placeholder.
