Give a brief description and why you found it so erotic.

For me has to be Anais Nin
Esp. her autobiography - in that I felt I knew the people she loved, her desires, her torments and her sexuality - which made sense of her erotic writing.

Henry Miller - he also makes me laugh.

JohnUpdike's couples was a good try - the pregnant Foxy scene is all too good.

The Men's Room was frightening for me, as a man.

The Hite report helped me understand women better and was erotic too.

I have read alot of books from a series called Black Lace - they are sold as erotic fiction for women but I know alot of men that read them too.

The stories vary greatly in context, some are non-consent, some are Bi, some are romance - ALL are very good.

I think two of my favorites are the first two I read - Captive Flesh and The senses bejeweled.

They are (from what I can remember - it has been about 5 yrs since I read them) about a young English woman who is travelling aboard (I think in the Victorian era) and she is held captive by a noble man in the far east and turned into his personal sex slave, but in the second book she turns the tables on him.

*shudders with desire* hell I am really gonna have to dig those books back out now!

Hite Report, yes I read that many years ago and I found the masturbation chapters particularly interesting! and I also learned a great deal about women's sexuality from this book, as well as being truly aroused by the participants' descriptions.

As for novels, a series by 'Anonymous' ~ 'Her'; 'Him'; 'Them' etc. Although the earlier ones were very good the later ones flagged and I'd guess they were not by the same author. Maybe the publishers wanted to cash in on the 'Anonymous' name!!

That one put out of short stories from that cool website...

L... L.... damn. What was the name of it????

D. H. Lawrence, Women in Love. The fig speech alone got me hooked. And even the homoerotic wrestling scene was a turn-on.

Lawrence has some steamy stuff! Wasn't some of his worked banned at one time?

Ann Rice's Beauty Series received a lot of attention from me.

Yeah, Lawrence was a perv. He's got some pretty steamy poetry, too. Lady Chatterly's Lover was banned at one time, as I recall.

I love all kinds of erotica. Even the pulp porn books you can find in adult toy stores. If it's hot I'll read it.

My fav erotica is The Beauty Series by Anne Rampling
Loved 'em all

Just touching the surface

There are many, many erotic books I have yet to read.

So far, I'm come across a series from the 80's about "Jennifer" (that being the title of the series)... and many "Victorian" novels.
I'd have to say I like the "Man with a Maid" series best, so far.

Though I'll never forget "Elizabeth" my first erotic book ever... I was masturbating to it the first time I ever orgasmed. I wish I knew where that book was now...

Anne Rice's Belinda-romance between a man and a young girl
Anne Rice's Beauty series-I'm partial to the first book... although I own all of them
Story of "O"-my first venture into real erotica... Was blown away and brain sculpted by this book.

Anais Nin's erotica, o/c  Goddess that woman was amazing, I read most of her bios and diaries. I thought they did a sumputuous job with the film version of Henry and June, too.

I also enjoyed The Cement Garden by Ian McEwan; he writes of erotic taboos like I eat a chocolate ice cream cone....

:p

Forget it, the pages are all stuck together.

"Lisa the love slave" don't remember who it's by, but I've had it for over 20 years.

Anne Rice's "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" is definitely the most erotic novel I have ever read. A close second was a collection of short stories. I can't remember the name, but it was all Lesbian Sci-fi erotica.

The Pearl. A Victorian erotic magazine published in book form.

There are three for me.

Firefly by Peirs Anthony. There is a woman in there that reminds me so much of me and her experiences. A very sexually erotic book.

Then there is the Sonja Blue novels by Nancy Collins. Her vampire books just turn me on. Realy sexually charged, but not really much sex you know?

And then of corse Sightings. It was a book I was asked to read by a teacher in High School. She wanted to know if it was appropriate for people in my class to read. Boy was it not. LOL. But for the life of me I can't remember the author. Anyone know? IF so let me know. I want it for my collection.

All of Anne Rice's work under her various nom de plumes. Belinda is by far my favorite!
Anais Nin had a short story I loved called Hungarian Adventurer Im not sure it it was in Delta of Venus or Little Birds.
The Pearl- a collection of Victorian erotica, the first erotica I ever read other then sneaking peeks at my dads copy of The Happy Hooker
The Autobiography of My body- David Guy

And last but not least Bondage- not sure who that is by but if ya see it READ IT!

Chilton's Chrysler: Dodge/Plymouth Full-size trucks 1967-88 repair manual. Naked powerwagons make my nipples hard.

And no, I'm not being a smartass here either.

Three books

Nothing as sexy as shifting into high gear, or that powertran, but hear goes, with my limited reading in the area:

1) For instructions, technices, and ideas that I might like to try at home: The Complete Kama Sutra - The First Unabridged Modern translation of the Classic Indian Text, translated by Alain Dnielou

2) For being able to take a child's pure thoughts, and love, and being reminded that not everything is bills and sex, 11 yo "Mattie" J.T. Stepanek's Heartsongs (I am able to take most of it and change it enought to give it an aduld content)

3) For varity, and insite, and just plain good, The New Olumpica Reader edited by Maurie Cirodis.

Inside, in the intro of #3 above, it list a few de-ringers to look into, who helped estable the field, if you will.

Just my $.02 before inflation, declinging value, and taxation.
