What is the lamest/dumbest/best reason you've dumped someone

I grew tired of listening to a fuck buddy go on and on and on every time he was drunk about how he and his buddy took on 100 Iraqis while guarding them in Desert Storm. Just hand to hand combat. The story got bigger and bigger every time.

Not that it *didn't* happen, but after hearing the story 20 or so times, I kind of wish the Iraqis would have won.

I once used my parents as a proxy...Told the girl I couldn't go out with her anymore since they really hated her. It was great. I also pretended to be going through 'problems', and that once I worked through them, we would be together again...Been 3 years now.

Well I've never had the pleasure (?) of dumping someone, I've always been the dumpee. *tear* But anyway, the worst reason someone has dumped me is because she said we lived too far away from each other... "too far" being 15 minutes. "Drive 15 minutes to see my significant other?! No way!!" A few months after we broke up, I found out she had done it to go out with some other guy, so it didn't seem as moronic then.

I went out on a couple of dates with this guy. I really did not want to but I decided maybe it would not be so bad.

I was wrong of course, he became very needy and he confessed he loved me. How can he love me after only going out with me 4 times?! I tried to avoid him at all costs but he would phone me and come over to my place.

I had to end it, so I came up with a lie. I just told him I had gotten engaged to my ex boy friend and I could not see him anymore. It worked for some time but then he found out through some one I was not engaged.

These were all long ago, when I was young and dumb.....

Dumped several because they did something I really hated that my ex husband did. And I did not want anyone who did anything I detested in him.

Dumped a couple of really nice guys because I felt like they were smothering me.

I always wanted a BAD BOY. there is still something about a bad boy that is fun to date or see if not wanting anything serious....
but if it is for the long haul, or even medium haul I prefer someone who is caring and loving towards me. I had the physical/mental/emotional abusive guys and don't want to go there again!!!

Maybe it is true we DO get WISER as we get OLDER!
