What is the AH...really?

She was billed as "The Missouri Giantess". She used to be in the Guinness Book of World Records (prior to 1976 or so) but was knocked out of the newer volumes by bigger women.

She never married. She was quite wealthy for the time (PT Barnum paid pretty well, I guess) and she always worried that any suitors would only be marrying her for her money.

I don't mind at all. I used to bring my copy of the Guinness book to school so I could show her off.
According to the circus, 8 feet 4 1/2 inches, but she was probably closer to 7 or 7 1/2 feet. If you interested, here's a website about her.
