Mitt Romney's surprise campaign stop on Thursday at the headquarters of Solyndra
Mitt Romney's campaign didn't announce the event location or subject in advance and barred reporters from disclosing the venue until arrival.
The Romney campaign was concerned the Obama administration would work with local officials to prevent Romney from holding an event there.
(Mitt Romney's super-secret event at Solyndra was pre-empted by live cable TV coverage of the Bush portrait unveiling.)
Surprise! Mitt Romney offered no proof of his claim- of Obama's "crony capitalism." How many fudges and fibs did Mitt Romney tell ?
http://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-romney-misses-mark-solyndra-claim-193816773--finance.html
Can we talk about Alex Mistri, and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld ?
Facts-
The roots of the loan made to Solyndra, actually emerged during the Bush administration.
As governor of Massachusetts, Romney handed out loans to firms in emerging technology fields, some of which ended up (like Solyndra) going bankrupt.
Mitt Romney allowed the stimulus, he did not oppose it. He squawked about it and then he caved in.)
What is Mitt Romney’s excuse for his leadership failure of Massachusetts?
Facts-
Romney raised fees- It is not a tax! It's a fee! (Where have we heard this, before?)
Increased state debt- The addition of $2.6 billion to the state's debt on Romney's watch. )
Put Massachusetts near the bottom in job creation. Under Romney, Massachusetts was ranked 47th in job creation.
Massachusetts manufacturing jobs vanished at twice the national rate.
Massachusetts household incomes fell even when they were rising nationally.
Massachusetts public sector jobs grew at six times the rate of private sector jobs.
Massachusetts unemployment figures were than the national slightly better than the national average, before Mitt Romney took office.
They were identical to the national average, when he left.
Andrew Sum, a professor of economics at Northeastern University-
The unemployment rate fell only because people were leaving the workforce in droves during Romney’s term. Just one state had a bigger drop
in its labor force during the same period, according to Sum — that was Louisiana, which was hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Romney does not the facts and reality get in the way of his big, empty boasts-
