I'm not sure what the term troll is. I have heard it used referring to bi-sexual older men and older gay males. Is it derogatory? I hope I don't qualify as one as I'm 51 years of age and bi.

One man's troll is another’s hot daddy. I hear the word bandied about by twinks (another derogatory term) when referring to anyone who doesn't qualify as a cover model for GQ. Others use the term to refer to obnoxious guys who lurk around bars and make clumsy and unwanted passes at everyone in sight.

Personally, I like to think of myself as a hot leather daddy even though I am 56. Besides guys look better in leather as they grow older.

Everything said so far in this thread is true. However, I just wanted to complicate matters a bit...

I have also heard he term "trolling" on internet forums. In the contexts that I've seen it used, it refers to an obnoxious poster who goes into a forum/thread and periodically makes negative posts (some of which can be factual others that aren't true at all). There goals is to trash the topic or authors that have written on the forum/thread.

Perhaps someone more savvy with current internet forms/blogs might want to comment.
