The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874.

And the first helmet was used in Hockey in 1974.

That means it only took 100 years for these men to realize that their brain

is also important.

must be a continuation of the species thing

even the brain dead can make babies

Not true.

you're right. just saw that in wiki. first helmet was used in the NHL in the late 20s.

wasn't mandatory until 1979. not sure if nut cups were ever made mandatory.

It would make a big difference if a scrotum had eyes and could dodge missiles.

Not many do.

I'm just picturing my threesome fantasy with Mike Modano and Joe Nieuwendyk..

Situation is analogous to greater fear of "bouncing betty" than traditional explosive mine.

Possibly you need to know more hockey players. Most of them are not really capable of registering pain in the head.

In Vietnam I often sat on one flak jacket, and draped a 2nd flak jacket across my lap. So far as I know they still dont perform nut transplant operations.

I do not think so. Hockey sometimes has issues with equipment such as helments, size of goalie pads, curvature of sticks or whatever but generally everybody just goes with convention.

Everyone knows hockey players don't have anything upstairs to protect.
