What is/isn't allowed for stories here?

Ok, I'm in the midst of very slowly writing a story, the proofreading of which will be hell. Reagrdless, I have hopes of posting it here (having posted one with favorable results already), but given the subject matter, that won't happen. I wouldn't object to posting an alternate story though, one that snakes around the objectionable material.

And while I know some of the rules here (no one under eighteen, no zoo, for example), is there a link around here that describes the guidelines for submittable material? I don't recall passing one earlier, and for whaterver reason don't feel like going back to find out.

Also, would it be considered in bad taste to make mention in the posted story of what the 'full' version entails, to e-mail the author for copies, etc...? It was a passing thought.

Basically, the major rule is that you note post a story that involves someone under aged. This can cause a major problem, as it did for White Shadows, and cause this site to become an AVS instead of free.

Note post?

Note post? What is that?

I would also like to ask for a major list of do's and don'ts for this site. Being a lurker for quite sometime, I have shed my facade and have giving myself to naughtiness.

I have some old stories that I found on my hard drive from years back. The stories are mostly from newsgroup a.s.s authors and some that I wrote. I was just wondering if I could post some of the a.s.s stories here.

I was looking for the ones that I wrote when I found these. If I submitted them under my name but disclaimered them so I was not using someone else work, could I post them?

:D

Well, concerning your stories, feel free to post them! However, if they are not yours, it would be best to contact the original author to get their permission to release it here. For all we know, it IS here (under a different name/handle), or that they would like to submit it themselves. Maybe not at all. Its' their story, so its their call.

Yeah, I'm a wee ommphed at the leck of response to my query. Maybe the rules are explicitly stated somewhere here and I simply missed them?

There is a lot of leeway in the rules...

see: http://www.literotica.com/subguide.shtml Which is the submission guidleines, wherein only underage sex is explicitly forbidden.

You can submit stories with bestiality, snuff, torture, and other objectionable things, but your story will get banished to allextreme.com (the extreme stories link on the story index page) if it contains any of these things.

Laurel has said in several threads that the only thing that is absolutely forbidden is underage sex, but nonconsent stories must result in enjoyment by the victim to be posted on Literotica proper. Nonconsent without enjoyment by the victim, Bestiality and snuff stories go to the extremes stories site

She has also said that each story is considered as a whole and judged on its own merits. Write what you will (except for underage sex) and submit it. Laurel will contact you and ask for changes; banish it to the Extreme stories site; or in very rare cases, tell you your story isn't acceptable.

Note: If you have doubts about the suitability of your story, then it probably needs adjusting to fit the overall tone of the site.

You can check the Submission Guidelines, which covers the big questions.

Out of respect for author copyrights, we only accept work submitted by the original author.

As far as the Extreme story section goes, it's not the punishment it seems. That section does have a very appreciative audience. We separate out the more extreme fare from the more mainstream stuff to help writers find the most appreciative audience. In this way, more adventurous readers know where they can find the wilder stories, while those who wish to avoid certain themes can do so. The Extreme section is subject to all the same rules (age, story length, etc.) that are covered in the Submission Guidelines.

I strongly suggest you read the Submission Guidelines, as it covers all the big No's. If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me or post it here! :)

_ You know I HAD planned to make a whimsical comment here, BUTT . . .

. . . That would be W-A-Y out of character for a serial killer, & anyway some FOOL would probable sneer at it, so I'll wait for a more suitable character to say what needs to be said.
