Doesnt matter if youre religious or not. What are you giving up for Lent?

Nowt.
I've already had to give up lots of my favourite indulgences to keep gall stone attacks at bay. Apart from giving up the foods I'm allowed altogether, there's not a lot left.

Give up the gallstones for lent.

I'm not giving up this lent, I'm endeavouring to take something on : to excercise 3 times a week and to make sure i'm eating healthy. I'm doing okay so far :D

I've given up things before : chocolate, pepsi max (a massive effort at the time) cakes and biscuits. It was time for a change this year :D

I'm thinking about giving up sheep, but with the Earth Day Contest coming, that might be difficult if not impossible.

Besides, I saw the first of this year's lambs today...

I'm giving up catering to my Catholic boyfriend during lent. For years, I've been trying to make tasty and inventive meals that he can eat every friday. He always complains about everything, so this year, he can drive his ass to Long John Silver's.

It sounds as if you have several boyfriends and only one of them is Catholic.

If that is the case, I suggest that your give up the 'Catholic boyfriend' and only him for Lent. Have fun with the non-Catholic boyfriends who don't care what they eat on Fridays. Who knows, you might find that one of them will cook for YOU on Fridays.

Awwwwww........now that I'm going to miss being over here. I always look forward to the first of the spring lambs in the fields while driving around the countryside. Hopefully they won't have grown too much by the time I get back.

I'd be delighted to give them up.......if there was a way of doing it without surgery. :( Meanwhile, I'm stuck with them. We're learning to cohabit without bothering each other too much. So far its not going too badly.

Why didn't I think of that? :)

Thanks, Og.

p.s. If a guy ever cooked for me, I'd probably drop over dead from shock.
