When you go to your user control panel, there's one area you can check where when you scroll to the bottom, it will show the icons of who's following you.I understand how it works on the story side, but not the forums.
Can you see who is following you on the forum side? How do you do that?
When you say "control panel," are you talking about the forum side or the story side? On the forum side, there's my avatar, the DM envelope, the alert bell and a search magnifying glass. When I click on my avatar I see a "following" item, but no "followers."When you go to your user control panel, there's one area you can check where when you scroll to the bottom, it will show the icons of who's following you.
Edit: click on your member name>click about>scroll to bottom, which will show whom you follow and who follows you.
I found it out. If you click "What's new" in the main menu, and then Your News Feed, it will give you a list of posts and reactions by people you've followed. What's this supposed to by me? I don't get alerts when they post things.
was just about to tell you that, but you found itI found it out. If you click "What's new" in the main menu, and then Your News Feed, it will give you a list of posts and reactions by people you've followed.
No. They follow you, but you can't block them.Is there a way to remove users that follow you? There are people I have never interacted with following me
Frustrating.No. They follow you, but you can't block them.
Plenty of folk follow with no interaction. Presumably they're interested in what you have to say.
If they harass you, you can report them to the site.Frustrating.

I just did that, all I got was a list of recent posts, none of them by anyone I've followed.I found it out. If you click "What's new" in the main menu, and then Your News Feed, it will give you a list of posts and reactions by people you've followed.
All they have to do to get around such a feature is search for you in the search feature.I am with you on this one. I would like to see an update that we need to approve for someone to follow us. And we should be able to remove them from following us.
Well, that sounds like a bug. You can report it in Lit Tech Support (sub forum under Site News & Tech Support). I see posts from those I've followed.I just did that, all I got was a list of recent posts, none of them by anyone I've followed.
Sure. But there are people here who have had conflict with others that borders on harassment. While they flirt with the line of being banned from the site, it would be really great for the people they deliberately bother to not have to see in their profile that they are a “follower” of theirs. Or even just exes, one wants to follow the other, but they’d really rather they not. They shouldn’t have to deal with that. All they have to do to get around such a feature is search for you in the search feature.
Click on your avatar on the top tool bar, and then click on the about section of your profile. They’ll be there at the bottom (see attached image).Well, that sounds like a bug. You can report it in Lit Tech Support (sub forum under Site News & Tech Support). I see posts from those I've followed.
BTW - How does one find out who their followers are?
When I'm in the forum side and click on the avatar in the top tool bar, it displays, top to bottom: News Feed, Your content, Account details, Password and security, Privacy, Preferences, Logout, ....and then, second column: Reactions received, Signature, Following, Ignoring. Does this mean I'm using the modern view?Click on your avatar on the top tool bar, and then click on the about section of your profile. They’ll be there at the bottom (see attached image).
*Note: the steps might be different if you’re using the modern view of the forum. I use the classic view.
Apparently I was mistaken. Whatever I did to get where I was did not show the same list as the story side. I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!Anyway, the only way I can get a list of followers is by doing stuff that ultimately lands me on the story side. And those followers are following my stories, not my posts.
Yes!I am with you on this one. I would like to see an update that we need to approve for someone to follow us. And we should be able to remove them from following us.
I really don't understand this. Anyone can read your posts, so if they're making it more efficient for themselves, what's the difference? In fact it takes a bit of work for you to even know they're doing it. ??????Yes!
