What happened to Virtual Places?

What ever happened to the VITTUAL PLACES chat rooms? They were great fun.

Is Virtual Places still available and, if so, from where can it be downloaded?

www.excite.com the look for chat... it is there but called something besides VP... and it is not as good as the old VP was.. IMHO

i used to chat on vp a lot, i had tons of gestures and even more of my own personal avs. twas a great wayto chat and then excite changed it and now it sucks very very badly, not even worth your time if you ask me.

the good Avatar chat houses and communities are pay per month to pay for the technology....

just wait for "The Sims" to become an online interactive like the game is
