What Happened To My Story?

(Now before you all go whacko, thinking that I'm soliciting votes, forget that notion right now! Because I'm NOT! This is a legitimate concern!)

Somehow the margin went "KOOKY-pootz" and now it's very fliggin' difficult to read the frabbin' thing!! (How do you like that! I'm making up my own cuss words as I go along, here...)

Laurel, Manu, is there any way to fix this, without having to re-type the whole darn thing? And, if so, would you fix it for me. If not, I guess I'll have to re-type the darn thing!

PS- I've seen this on one other story: "Grocery Shopping," (or something like that) by Laylah77. Maybe she'd like hers fixed, too!

It's not you. It's formatting problems with the page itself. Laurel will fix it. Give her a chance. It may take a while though, she does Literotica toward afternoon and evening.

Ah! This is an excellent post. Here's the scoop: If you include a line in your story with no breaks that is longer than the width of the story column, then the HTML doesn't know what to do and thus expands the width of the column. Many people like to put a long row of * as separators, i.e.

Now, if you do this in your story, and I don't catch it (I try to), then you will end up with the story text bleeding over into the background.

In the case of this story, the offending line was:

"OhGod,ohGod,ohGodohGodohGodohSHIT,youfuckinbitch.Whythefuckarentyouheretotakemycuminyourhotcunt,youfuckingsexybitch"

As you can see, there are no breaks, no spaces, so the HTML didn't know where to cut the line and ended up extending the width of the column, I will go in right now and put a few spaces in to rectify the situation.

Authors: please spread the word on this. Like I said, I try to catch these things, but they do slip by me. DO NOT have long, unbreaking lines in your story, or you will have this problem.

Ah ha! Found the culprit in Laylah77's story. It was this line, which I did not catch:
