I don't know if this is the right area for this question, but here goes:

I read the LIT guidelines on revising submissions. I had an accepted story in the wrong category. I re-submitted it with " -- EDITED" added to the title. It was tagged as PENDING for a week -- and then it disappeared. The old version in the wrong category is still there. Is this common? How do I fix it?

Quick question. What is the category it is in(that you say is wrong) and what is the story about?

Reason I ask is sometimes the site takes it upon itself to place a story where they think it should go.

For example, say you were writing an incest story, but it was two brothers and you chose incest, the site will put it in Gay Male because that is where they think it is best suited.

if your story has GM, or incest, or non consent aspects they are likely to be moved there.

So if you give more information you have a better chance of someone helping you.

Also you might want to ask this in the author's hangout forum, I think you'll get more answers there.

Changes made with edits don't appear on the public side for about 24 hours. Most of the site is cached now to speed it up, as best I can tell.

If it hasn't migrated to the new category after the 24 hour mark, there's a possibility Laurel doesn't agree with your assessment of category and thinks the original one is where it should be.

The site editor reserves the right to choose the category. So, it could just be a case that she doesn't agree with your choice--and didn't the first time either.

I had mistakenly assigned the piece to INCEST but that's really just a very minor part of it. It's mostly about a teen witnessing lots of sex, so it should be in the VOYEUR section.

Why first call it INCEST? Because I'd submitted another story at the same time, one that was actually about incest, and I was a little drunk, so I got sloppy when making the mistaken submission. Mea fucking culpa.

I had thought about posting this question there. I'm still getting the feel of the forum structures here. Thanks.

It looks like you'd be best to pose the question directly to the editor, Laurel, using a PM (private message. Upper right corner of this page).

Who is he witnessing having sex? If its a family member it will end up in incest any family fun even indirect ends up there.

I'm surprised that what you describe posted at all at Literotica. Voyeurism is a sexual act. underage teen is underage.
