What Happend to the Stories

Hello,

I've been an avid reader for at least the past five years. I've always enjoyed to stories that have been written on here. Lately, it seems the content of them has declined drastically. The Loving Wives or Non-consent/Reluctance or even Incest (mom on son) have been not as good as the past entries I have read. I'm not sure why, but somewhere people have gotten away from what I believe to be...naughtiness. For example, for the categories above I used to see regular entries that portrayed characters being more conquered than I do now. The non-consent/reluctance has routinely now gotten away from non-consent/reluctance to the stories going something to the effect..."no we can't...then I touched her clit for a few moments until she got really wet and she looked at me and said 'fuck me'". Way too easy and somewhat phoned in. What makes those stories interesting to me anyway, is the person, wives, mother neighbor....whomever, is faced without a choice or is doing something they regret soon after or during.....

There was a non-consent story I believe that was about a wife camping in a tent in the front yard when the elderly neighbor came in to talk...yada, yada, yada she was feeling sorry for him and let her feel her up, then go down on her...when he stopped she told herself that was it when he suddently plunged his dick inside of her to such an extent that she bit into his shoulder and moaned....that's kinda exciting. I'd be interested in seeing that again if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

Anyway, no I can't write better ones and shouldn't have to. This site has been very entertaining and a source of "relief" for many years. As a long time viewer, I'm just offering some hopefully constructive criticism and hope that I see stories as I did 1 or 2 years ago vs. what's being put up today.

I can't speak for the perceived lack of quality in recent stories. I'm fairly new, and haven't read a fraction of the content on this site. I believe that the quality will go up and down as a matter of chance. Most of the writers that publish here are amateurs.

It's also possible that people are afraid their work won't be published if it's too extreme. I'm in that situation. I'm working on an Erotic Horror piece which will include rape and torture. I have mentioned this in another thread and a moderator seemed to think I would not have difficulty if I submitted it. Still, I have my doubts. It's not a story meant for masturbation, which it seems most popular stories are geared for.

And of course, other people will probably disagree with you. One man's trash is another man's treasure and all that.

Just my two cents.

I agree with Typo Fu Master - tastes vary and the people who submit those newer stories might like better what is in those... And I find stories I like or dislike in both older and newer stories... Though I agree with you that I am at times somewhat surprised how little reluctance there is in the reluctance category, but again, that is partly my taste, and partly probably what Typo Fu Master said that some people are scared the story might not be admitted else... (but at least my story got admitted even though there was no consence in it...) Personally I write stories about what interests me, anyway... And often I end up getting more interested in the story than the sex part, but again, that is just me...

Actually, part of the reason i started writing was because i wasn't liking a lot of the stories that were coming out, so i decided to write my own in the vein that i wanted =) it's been a lot of fun...

i def know what you mean about the nonconsent though, that was my biggest issue with everything, becuase that was one of my fav categories and i hated that it was ALWAYS women who were easily seduced. i like it to be a little bit more rough, things more complex than that... and i try to incorporate that into my stories now.

i have noticed lately that i've been liking a lot more stories that are coming out, so hopefully our kind of stories are coming out more! =D

The restrictions on Lit are well known. No under 18's and No animals. Apart from that you can do whatever you want to a human being or an alien and it will be published. So write your story and then PUBLISH AND BE DAMNED accordingly.

In the last few month's i have published several Non-Consent/Relutance stories, non of which are as soft as the one you describe. So if you look i am sure you will find some that suit your needs. I also agree with another reply on here, like most thing's you will get peak's and trough's and maybe us writer's are in a trough right now.

The US Dept. of Justice is recently threatening to come down hard on a lot of erotic topics that were considered okay just a few months ago. I imagine that's made the webmasters here extra cautious, and so stories in which the girl is not all that reluctant are now classified as Non-Consent.

I know that a BDSM site I publish on has recently stopped taking any rape stories, which used to be their stock in trade. They're apparently afraid the government will come down on them.

I can understand what you mean. My friend posted a chapter that involved a simulated rape, in his novel Bigrig. Even though both parties were in consent to the actions in the story, some of us felt it might be too violent for public viewing. He toned it down and added some other situations which took much of the focus off the main idea of the chapter. And to all of our surprise the readers really enjoyed it and were asking why it wasn't more pronounced. *Sigh*

We all have our own ideas of imagination. And I think people should be allowed to write what they fantisize or imagine and create their own stories however they like. And I feel it should be done without malice from any of the readers that come to this site. If they don't like it, close the window and look for something else to read.

Btw, that chapter scored higher than most of the eighteen in the novel. ​

As the owners, Laurel and Manu have every right to say what they allow to be published on their site. So, no, it shouldn't be "if they don't like it, close the window and look for something else to read" at all. They don't want to have to defend themselves in court, for one thing, and I don't blame them, and for another, since the site belongs to them they can make whatever rules they like for it, whether you think them arbitrary or not.

After all, if YOU don't like the rules, YOU can take your stories somewhere else.

And I understand perfectly what you're saying. I actually didn't mean it the way it may have sounded or the way it has been taken. I was refering to the trolls that so often frequent this site. And I apologize if I offended you. ​
