What gives you peace of mind to sleep at night or wake in the morning?

endorphines.... lots of endorphines....

i.e. orgasms

That's a long question, luscious. I do find everyday really exciting now - well, nearly every day. I do every morning bring into my head the thought that the day is full of opportunities and new encounters, even with my family - it's a lot of that being positive stuff - but for me it works.

Usually at night I drop off, whatever the sate of my marital relationship, with a cuddly thought of some women or other, a word or a gesture of frienship - something that makes me feel good.

It's not money... , I can't take that with me. I believe it is my sense of family and the connections I make with people from day to day. Whether it be loved ones, strangers, or friends.. influencing someone in a positive way and making people smile or laugh that is something that gives me gratitude and self worth to a point. Taking care of my self and being responsible for my actions...

I have no mystical answers. The world is a nice place if I can remember to look for the good.

There are so many belief systems and different cultures. What is it that gets you going every day? Keeps you motivated to continue each morning? What calms you to let you sleep at night? Is it a religion? Is it your repetitive activities? Is there some big universal answer that you have that you would like to share with the rest of us?

A nice blow-job puts me to rest at night.I sleep like a rock.
A nice blow-job wakes me up to be full of energy the whole day.
Hmmmm,i wonder why that is?
If i get one in the morning, shouldn't it make me go back to sleep?
I guess it's just meant to have that affect.
I wish it was religion. It should be a sin not to give your man a good blow-job in the morning to wake him up and one at night to put him to sleep.
he he he

What did i tell you?

Endorphines.

Knowing that my kids are safe and taken care of lets me fall asleep.

I awaken almost every morning with my lovers voice in my ear. Thats enough to get me going.

What makes me sleep soundly is a warm bubble bath with peach oil rubbed on to my skin afterwards.

What wakes me up, is the alarm clock, intruding into my dreams. What keeps me awake, is the promise that TODAY might be THE day when I finally find someone to share my life with.

So very well put ...... I just had to repeat what you said... :rose:

what a great question...i end every day and begin every day with a simple, universal...thank you...to whatever power might be listening...for the past few years i have face every day with excitement because i'm doing the things i love in a place that i love to be...

Lately ???

It has been Tylenol PM that puts me out at night and Coffee IV that gets me going in the morning.
No time for anything more ethereal.

My peace comes from knowing that my twelve gauge is loaded with number four buckshot next to the bed. For backup, I have a sharp two-handed sword! Shoot or cleeve, that is the question..
Knowing that tomorrow may be a glorious day for riding the Harley, or going to the gym for a great workout! The chance to meet a new love interest gives me a little motivation to start the day.
Other than that, the rest of your life is anyone's guess, live it well, live it at full speed, and burn out...don't rust away! :D

Uhhhhhh can I be really sappy???? lol

Knowing that we share something really great.......Calms me, lets me sleep like a baby........

Hmmmmm then she will be the first thing I see in the morning, and ummmmmmmm lots of coffee lol...........;) :p

my life (and joy) is caring for and raising my son...when i know he's safely bathed and sleeping, then i can sleep too

and he's ALWAYS up before me, so i usually wake to him standing at the side of my bed telling me he's hungry

speaking of bed, i work an ungodly early shift tomorrow so i'm off to find my pillow...night all

I suppose I'll have to be sappy, too, if I'm going to be honest. I can sleep with ease knowing I have done everything I could during the day -- even if it was just a little. I can wake up and not want to crawl back into bed by telling myself I'll do the same thing againt today.

But more importantly to me, I keep functioning because I know that there is someone in a far away place who loves me deeply. I think of him sleeping peacefully as I carry out my evening/nightly activities, and fall asleep dreaming of finally being with him for good. I wake up and smile as I think of seeing his wonderful face every day when I wake up for the rest of my life...

I know that's terribly cliche and sappy, but it's so true. My true love keeps me going, plain and simple. He keeps me going when we're apart, and he'll keep me going when we're together. I love you, sweetie. :X

Every morning, I wake up early (4:30-5:00) to head out to run along the ocean's edge. I use that time to lay out my day, contemplate the previous day, to solve problems. It's MY TIME-- no wife, no employees, no clients........

At night, I go to sleep with a smile on my face.......having slain the dragons another day, rescued a Princess, or done a charitable deed;

A contented amn
