we all pre judge. it's not so bad, necessarily.

but can we agree that pigheaded (persistent), violently enforced prejudice is NOT desirable? esp. for persons with some legitimized firepower, such as the cops?

Plus their bus dumped it's....um....payload on a draw-bridge here in Chicago. The "payload" fell directly on a boat passing underneath (and all the people that were on deck). Dave Matthews is evil (and a lousy singer). But I like the band.

Everyone is predjudiced. I disagree with Pure about assigning more significance to any group. People without power who use their bigotry to teach kids that they can't succeed and should hate just like them, do a lot of damage. We should all strive to improve our level of tolerance (at least so we can hear out people we disagree with). I try, fail, then try again *repeat a lot*.

(edited...somehow the first half of my post, dealing with Dr. Williams, a black conservative college professor, did not take and was eliminated and I cannot duplicate it...sorry)




I call it, 'blackball'.

Now, it may well be, that africans are 'naturally' physically superior to caucasians in the motor skills required to compete in those sports.

Or it may well be that social pressures have elevated these young men into those positions for reasons other than skill.

Or...is it a mixture of both?

But...there are corollaries involved. If blacks are superior and have been held back for centuries and are just now coming into their own...what does that bode for the future of physical contact sports? Will it be all black and the 85 percent majority of this nation are to remain as spectators?

But if it is partly political correctness, which I suspect, what does it bode for all those young white men who no longer have the opportunity for fame and fortune in the sports world?

Although most of you are too sophisticated to admit you follow the NBA or the NFL, and way to non redneck to even consider NASCAR, which is almost totally while males and even professional tennis...sighs...what is the future of professional sports....as if you give a damn...

I couldn't bear another round of it. I was too busy being, ah, "charmed" but his thoughts on "discrimination," in particular his apparent decision that only people of his own race could qualify for the coveted role of his spouse. It was at least amusing that his attempts to play silly sophistic games with the term were so revelatory of his own character.
