What, exactly, is a snuggle anyway?

Is that where you hold someone real tight and rub your face against their chest and leave behind a trail of snot/drool that you really hope they don't notice so they don't know you did it? Why or why not?

KM your definition of a snuggle sounds an awful lot like a kleenex commercial.

I think 'Snuggles' are some brand of diaper, aren't they?

I thought it was a brand of fabric softener?

I think snuggles are where you hold someone close and make little happy noises, and you can just hold them and stroke their hair and sigh happily.... :)

Well, I do know that if you live in Bloom County you're not allowed to say Snugglebunnies.

Wow, lots of judgment right out of the starting gate!

I know what the word snuggle means. Even some of it's etymology. It comes from snug which derives from the Scandinavian (Swedish, specifically) snygg meaning neat or trim. I do have nine dictionaries at last count. However, dictionary definitions and connotations are two different things. What is snuggle is quite different from what does snuggle mean?

Snuggle makes me think of my son when he was four and used to constantly bounce into my lap, hug me really tight, and leave a trail of snot across the front of my shirt. Snuggling adults isn't something that comes to mind.

I seriously pity anyone who cannot comprehend the simple fact that words mean different things to different people. It's unforunate that we're so incredibly narrow-minded and silly about things.

here's a clue.

use it wisely, soldier.

Let me get this straight.

Snuggle reminds me of four-year-old-boy-with-a-sinus-infection hugs.

Therefore, I have a bad husband and someone has ripped my heart out and stomped it flat.

And this is thinking the world of me? I'm very hard-pressed not to be insulted here.

I didn't actually think I was being mean or anything here, just opening up an interesting topic of conversation where we could compare and contrast the different ideas people have of what a word means. But no. Someone has to be cute and insult the everlasting fuck out of me over it.

I'm gone for a while. I have better things to do than put up with this utter bullshit.

Truthfully, I think KM started the thread as a spoof, reaction, tangent of my *snuggle with a vengeance* thread... and I think she was slightly sarcastic in the first post.....

I think you're taking it a bit seriously, huskie...

sorry! *shrug*
