We have a 42 foot long atomic cannon perched atop a hill next to a major interstate. It's located in "Freedom Park."

:) Welcome to my town.

I live very near the Royal Artillery barrack's/academy opened in the 1700's I think and they have monument's and an artillery museum, there's all kinda gun's including a railway cannon that I think was captured from the German's in WW2.

We have beautiful country here, lot of mountains and lakes. Great Bass fishing, and golf courses. Lots of places to camp and hike which I love doing. And most important, an endless supply of grits..heh:p

The thing about Kansas is that at times it seems so large and so small at the same time. Especially out on the prairie. The sky is huge, dwarfing and the grass just rolls on and on. The clouds that move across the sky give the grasslands an almost waterlike effect.

Where I live now, in Northeast Ohio, I'm right near Lake Erie. This area is only one of just a few places to have something called "Lake Effect Snow". We have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the new Jacob's Field Stadium where the Cleveland Indians play, and the new Cleveland Brown's Football Stadium. There is an area called "The Flats" along the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, which has some great restaurants and bars. You can dock your boat right near your favorite place and walk right in. We have a beautiful parks system called the MetroParks and here is where I love to spend lots of time. A beautiful park called Lakewood Park is right along Lake Erie and the view of Cleveland City is spectacular. There have these cute swing seats you can sit on and watch the boats glide along the river, watch the light planes land at a nearby airport, and enjoy the calming effects of the water. It's really beautiful.

I will admit to missing my hometown in the Philadelphia area, though. I go back every chance I get as that is where my heart will always be.

Have a wonderful Saturday.

well Province and Country wise, there is lots. Good forestry, good access to lakes and with enough buffering from the coasts and mountains that wheather is not that big of a problem. As far as the city goes bah its a second rate suburban hell hole. But, its close to Toronto so you can go have some fun.

Beautiful english countryside(foot and moth free at the mo),
beaches,
sea,
sandringham(large house occassionally inhabited by the Queen)
picturesque villages,
the norfolk broads (canals that meander through the Norfolk countryside)
then we also have:
Great Yarmouth.
warm beer,
rain
and no motorways.
oh yeah and more rain.

A golf course, a factory and a truck stop, oh and a catholic school that is closing down plus a elementry school. Those are the high lights....
