What does your face look like during sex?

I've never taken any pics, but I'm pretty damn sure that I smile an awful lot when I'm having sex. I even laugh sometimes. I do both of those things even more when I'm having sex with someone other than myself.

Going by what I've seen, though, that's kind of unusual. Is that just because the fun has gone out of it for porn actors? Or do most people view sex as serious business?

What does it mean to you if a partner laughs while having sex with you? Is laughing, happy sex a turn-on, or a turn-off?

I think that porn actors are a terrible example of what pretty much anyone does in sex, especially anyone actually enjoying it. Their expressions range from disinterested to over-acted (with disinterested underneath) to pissed off (and possibly disinterested). I've seen a few good performances, mind you, but not many. I suppose that after a while it's just business and it's hard to look like you're enjoying yourself.

Personal reactions? Depends on the kink. I think laughter is great if it's shared and of the excited, affectionate, or just having-a-completely-amazing time variety. I imagine that the derisive kind would be rather less amusing, but have been fortunate enough not to have encountered it. I did once manage to make an more than usually impressive sexual balls-up (surely that's the place to use that term if ever there was one), and the only thing that saved my partner and I lasting mental scars and humiliation was that we both found it hysterical. Thank God.

But I will suggest that pure raging intensity of desire is a very attractive expression as well. There is a time and a place - alas, all too often in my fiction, but still - for taking things damned seriously
