I wondered if it was interpreted differently by different people.

I take it to mean this.....An expression of dismay or exasperation.

I've seen it used in threads here & I'm not sure what people mean by it.

So what is you interpretation?

I like that one. It has attitude. :D
I've always thought the rolling eyes meant exasperation. But if it were directed toward me personally I might see it as more of an insult. I hope I never find out!

People put it in their posts & I'm never sure is it is just that.......directed towards me :)

I've had a few moments when a post made me take a second look and wonder if it was directed toward me. But I figure if it happens once then it was just someone having a bad day. If it becomes a pattern, then maybe they are just really fucking rude and deserve to be ignored! :D

I use it as a self-deprecating smile. For instance if I am sharing and inside joke at my own foibles.
For instance when I broke yet another vibratorI used the role eyes emoticon to express my head shaking at myself.

I agree with Switch on this. I rarely use it, but to me it's not a derogatory emoticon at all, more self depricating

Haha, I'm guessing you wrote that after my post.

I overuse this..

It usually means, for me, like I'm being cheeky.. or I'm laughing at my own joke. Or I'm just being silly in some way.

Lol :D

Yes, I understand that :)

For me, it's the closest I can get to a smiley that represents my general way of speaking. I'm generally cheeky, I'm always obnoxious, and almost always flirtatious. This smiley signifies all these things for me!

Of course I should point out I'm not blue. No offence to any smurfs or smurfettes out there.

Exactly!

And what if I am blue? o_O

I've seen it a few times, used by others, not just you :)

Wasn't sure if it was used by people across the pond to mean something different :)

Then a) you excel with photoshop, and or b) you looking fucking fantastic blue or otherwise.

Just getting straight to the point there, I hope you don't mind. ;)

Better blue than a man, I guess.

(Oh, see I just used it again lol)

For me, it means many things: self-deprecation, exasperation, sarcasm, etc. When I'm being cheeky or naughty, I use the *wink* emoticon ;).

For example, when I browse threads which are *fairly* popular, and then the thread-owner/girl/woman hasn't appeared in several days and people are bugging her for pics, I roll my eyes literally, while I'm reading the posts. I mean, hey, ampic girls have a life outside of Lit, y'know?! They have jobs, studies, families, etc.

Sometimes Lit is just a passing fancy, sometimes it becomes an addiction. :D

This is more like my face when I'm sitting at a stage at the strip club
(Of course, I'm not blue :D...<--oh and that's me during a lap dance;) )

In my case...

it means I am torn between a polite rebuff, ignoring them, or tearing their heads off..I am rolling my eyes upwards into my brain looking for a solution to the unsolvable.

I usually use it to signify not to take me seriously. Either I'm being sarcastic (likely) or I'm being an idiot on purpose.

Occasionally I'll use it to signify that I think that someone else is being a moron, in which case it'd represent exasperation/choking down the fact that I'm laughing at you.

To me it seems like it is saying

Oh brother , you silly goose you...:rose:
