A few tips:

1. Be sure the time frame shown is the maximum before cleaning out the inbox.

2. Then be sure to clean out the "Sent Items" and the "Message Tracking folders" in the same fashion.

I am going to assume you want to contact someone....

Usually I find a thread this person has posted to, and leave a message on there for them. After they have read it,I go back and edit it out.

Something like Hey lovetoread,you pm box is full...
