I've read many stories here that have a man jailed and or imprisoned for assault after catching another man in his home having sex with his wife. Until somewhere in the seventies you could get away with shooting such an interloper in some states. Recently a Florida man was acquitted for shooting a man under the Stand Your Ground Law, stating that he thought his wife was being raped.
Now shooting someone might be taking it to the extreme but i can't imagine any jury of convicting someone of assault when finding that person in your home fucking your wife. What's your thoughts on the matter?

My thoughts are that this is a topic for the Political Board, not the Authors Hangout.

I have been on the side where I caught my wife cheating. It hurts - and it hurts bad. She said I drove into the arms of another man. But, you know, the choice was hers to make. Instead of talking out the issues, she chose to cheat and she got caught. I learned a valuable lesson. A cheating heart knows only one thing - to cheat. In that sense, there is no way to protect one’s heart against on of the most tragically, depressive emotions such as finding out the love of your life is cheating. The idea of “Love the one you’re with or someone else will” doesn’t always work if the one you’re with has a cheating heart. In the end, she walked away pregnant by the other guy. I kept everything she walked away from when she left: the house, the cars, and our son.

My thoughts? There are things that offer far more justice than shooting the guy sleeping with her. He isn’t the guilty party; he’s only jumping on a opportunity to get laid. The wrongful party is the one cheating and betraying the marriage vows. Anyway, I have custody of our son. She lost her driver’s license and has been locked up twice for not paying child support. The sad thing is, she hasn’t seen or talked to our son in 3 years, but lives 22 miles away.
