What do you think about having a crush on the opposite sex that is outside your race?

I'd say go for it, but be very careful, there are some things you just don't do in certain cultures.

I agree--in certain cultures, or certain geographic locations. In some areas, interracial couples are not a big deal. In others, it's a very big deal and very difficult for not only the couple to fit in, but difficult for any children that may come of the union.

In a perfect world, or on, say, the starship Enterprise, this would be a non-issue. But we do not have a perfect world (yet).

You know where you live and the prejudices that are there. Proceed with caution and do what brings you peace.

I say go for it. Interracial relationships can be good, but they are challenging. It's not just skin color, it's culture. Be prepared to deal with hers, and she has to be prepared to deal with yours. This means you have to be accommodating and understanding of things that make little or no sense to you. Of things that may seem ridiculously stupid.

It wasn't meant to be funny. Anybody that considers race for anything like that is an idiot. Being part Irish, part Cherokee I get a little touchy about things like that. So I stick with what I said. It's disgusting to think anybody would even consider race in a situation like that. A human is a human. As such we snould conser whither we like the person, not the "race". End of subject.
