Of the stories you have written and posted on the Literotica site, what aspects do you like most about them? For my stories to date:

Shy Steve Meets Sexy Stacy (Erotic Couplings) - For some reason, I am attracted to nice looking women who have bitchy personalities, while college girls and girls with the classic Mid-Western look can also be hot. So Stacy, a hot blonde Midwest college girl who is a bitch on wheels with a big mouth to match came to life, and is the object of affection for a shy 18-year-old guy named Steve, who is friends with Stacy's younger brother Paul. Many guys would have had some sort of fantasy at some stage about their friend's hot older sister, and this is very evident here. I won't claim to be the first Literotica author to write a 1990s retro story; perhaps another author has but did not tag their story as such, however I was the first to use the 1990s tag. The 1993 setting was also fun as I got to dress Stacy in early 1990s clothes, including stirrup pants which add to the foot fetish aspect of the story.

Penny & Michael's Forbidden Fun (Erotic Couplings) - I had a lot of fun writing this story set in 1962 about a prim girl named Penny who falls for Michael, a guy her parents disapprove of. While the blonde-brunette-redhead theme appears in all my works, it is evident here with the blonde Penny and her friends Barbara and Judy, respectively brunette and redhead, all dressed up in early 1960s clothes. As enjoyable as the erotic aspects of this story was making the cultural references to the times, and the predictions the characters make about the future.

Switchboard Girls, Soldiers & Sirens (Erotic Couplings) - I am interested in the Second World War, and this story, my first set in England, was about two pretty cousins, Sandra and Susie, during the Blitz in 1941. Having two main and contrasting main female characters; bossy, brassy, confident and over-sexed blonde Sandra and shy, demure and prim brunette Susie was good to work with. I also enjoyed working humor into the story to make it lighter and fun to read.

The Babysitter & The Waterbed (Erotic Couplings) - Stories about babysitters seem popular, and I devised this story set in 1992 about Sabrina, a babysitter for a yuppie couple who is visited by her boyfriend Scott. Again, using early 1990s cultural references and clothes was fun, and having as central characters of a boyfriend and girlfriend who are very different but meant to be together was another thing I liked about the story.

Marissa - The Mob Boss's Daughter (Erotic Couplings) - Fooling around with the boss's daughter is probably not such a great career move, but if her father is a powerful mobster, it might just prove to be a fatal mistake. This story, which takes place in an Italian American neighborhood of Queens in 1972, sees a young man named Danny in just this situation with his boss's daughter Marissa, the apple of her father's eye. I enjoyed writing a story set in the 1970s, and describing how Danny becomes increasingly paranoid about his boss Sam and Sam's mob associates.

Spoiled Princess Hates Camping (Fetish, Story Series) - This ribald and kinky sex comedy takes place in 1994, and sees a spoiled rich city girl named Madison forced to go camping with her country relatives. Putting a spoiled princess in a fish out of water situation, where she has to contend with basic shower and toilet facilities, not only sleeping in a tent but sharing one, plus spiders and other creepy crawlies was fun. Also enjoyable was again having contrasting female lead characters; city girl Madison and her country cousin Kate, with Kate's twin brother Dylan providing comic relief as a voyeur. Writing an Australian character, a brash yobbo tourist named Davo and his New Zealand sidekick Travis, the straight man of the duo was also fun, as was the wowser who appears from time to time during the series.

The Night Louise Left the TV On (Erotic Horror) - London in the mid 1960s seems like a great place to visit, and while I lack a time machine to achieve this, I was able to set this story in 1966. Based on an urban myth about strange things happening when people neglected to turn off their TV sets and left them on snow, I think I achieved a good blend of horror and eroticism in this story with the main character, a young woman named Louise, looking great in her 1960s clothes.

Simon & The Senator's Wife (Erotic Couplings) - More risky sex in the 1970s, this was the first time I had attempted an older woman story, and the first time I had used adultery and infidelity as significant themes. I normally stay clear of these, not wanting to write stories where an innocent party is hurt, but think I got the balance right here. And there is lots of sex in this story involving a wide variety of characters.

Pretty Paula's Poodle Skirts (Erotic Couplings) - I had been planning to write a 1950s story for ages, but could not think of enough good ideas until this came to me. Using a love triangle was a good challenge, as was incorporating themes that are now politically incorrect. The dysfunctional family aspect was another thing I enjoyed, with both lead characters Paula and Robbie having such families, and this has my favorite ending of all of my stories.

Jehovah's Witness Romance (Erotic Couplings, Series) - I was amazed that I could not find a story about a hot Jehovah's Witness on the site, so wrote one myself set in the 1980s. The story incorporates mixed race erotica and lesbianism, the first time I had written either of these (although the character casts of most of my works have a wide variety of racial backgrounds), as well as possibly the only albino character outside of the Erotic Horror and Sci-fi works. There is something quite alluring about pretty Jehovah's Witness women doing their door-knocking hence my motivation for writing the story, plus I knew some Jehovah's Witnesses when I was younger who always complained about the restrictions placed upon them. I also incorporated two things that people always puzzle over; suddenly developing a crush on somebody you have known for years, and finding somebody irritating, yet hot at the same time.

the characters

The characters. I love the characters of my Former Playmates series. Mainly Stephanie. I think she's adorable and look forward to writing her incest story with her son.

Another character i like is Denise. I love how she flirts and picks on her son. I could easily see her causing an injury to the poor guy because she got too, um, enthusiastic in bed with him.

I also love Fernanda. She sleeps with mostly married men, but her accent, her outgoing, friendly personality is likeable.

Lastly, Ulysses. He's in several stories. A black fitness model that helps those in need, does volunteer work, is somewhat shy, definitely humble, and makes sweet, sweet love to the ladies.

As far as the stories themselves. I like how they cut to a new scene. Oftentimes in the middle of one. Like what you'd see in a movie or show. Some are non-linear, I like that too. I'll be posting a non-linear incest story in a couple weeks. I also like my Bigfoot story. Some of the imagery is eerie. See my signature.

Completing them.

Once I have finished a story, edited it, and posted in on Literotica I can forget about it.

That gives me a sense of relief. Until then the story and its characters are in the back of my head nagging me to finish.

Once posted, that story is history. The next story starts irritating me until that one is finished. At worst there can be a dozen of more stories pending in my brain and I need to get some of them out of the way.

So - What I like about my stories? They're posted and I can get on with my life...

I like the clever shit I sneak into my writings... that readers seemingly don't notice. Damn.

I feel that. I put some cheesy one liners in there and always hope someone will say they caught it and laughed, but....I am amusing myself it seems.

I like that I actually managed to finish the bloody thing and get it on the board..

My goal is to write one decent noir novel or novella, and what I enjoy is playing with my 'paper dolls' to create the perfect cast.

My Emily series was like that. It started out as a one-shot, but that bitch just wouldn't shut up.

But what I like about my stories is that they allowed me to live vicariously in a world that didn't resemble the one I actually live in.

This. I can't leave subtle clues alone, but I've had readers asked me why a character "suddenly" did something I'd been foreshadowing for two chapters.

Despite that, I like that my characters are complicated and flawed and sometimes quite broken, but try to maintain some grace in their existence (and copious sexual experiences) anyway.

That, and many of my readers get off on the stories. I don't want a rating system on literotica; I want an orgasm counter.

Bold crass descriptions of sex

I enjoy writing bold crass descriptions of sex. It gets my crank going and to me that is what erotica is about, both writing and reading.

I also like imagining the women I write about. For me it is almost like daydreaming. It takes me away from differential equations and decay rates and all the other boring shit I have to deal with every day.

What's the saying about being your own worst critic? That's me. So I guess the thing I like is finishing them so I can move on to another and do better (in my eyes).

I would say the characters. For the most part I like that my characters are realistic, they aren't all size 0 right off the pages of Playboy nor all fireman or lifeguards with six pack abs. Secondly I would say I really like taking characters from one story in a given category and having one or more of them in another story in a completely different category. That keeps the stories from being repetitive or just a continuing tale. I have several stories that continue with some characters in sequels but each story stands on it's own and relates to a previous story but isn't dependent on having read them.

If I didn't like everything about them I wouldn't write them. I write what I would like to read. Most of the time it's fun, but sometimes it get to be tedious. Luckily I can just ignore them when it gets like that.

The thing I like most about my stories, is that other people like them too. ;)

These ^^^

The muse in my head torments me relentlessly until I write down what she wants to say. During the process of transferring the thoughts and mental images into the written form, I enjoy the out-of-body experience that my characters live in. Once the story is finished and posted, many times I will forget about what happens, and it's usually a forced mental process to forget about it so when I go back and re-read what I've written, I can be pleasantly surprised at what happens. Mostly, lol.

While most of the advise here on Lit says to "write for yourself", too many times I'll make an attempt to try and make the stories appeal to the masses. My real life and fantasies surely play into the script, but I know that Lit is much different than real life, so I have to bump up my game. I still like what I've written, but it's always a nice ego bump to see that other people enjoy the scenes I've created.

I like that I can cross the line into graphic depiction when, in writing a story I could write to the mainstream, my characters get into a sexual situation.

I love when I am writing the first pages of a new story. As I near completion, I like the story less and less. I almost did not publish a few of them. Luckily, I have a new story in my head that allows the process to be fun again.

In contrast I often really like as I reach the ending, to find that my Muse really did have a way to tie all of those threads together in what often is a twist ending.

They're all a surprise. Or so I'd like to think. With some people's stories you know what you're going to get before you even click on them. If I've done my job right, each of my stories should be a little something unexpected.
