What do you call a story about sex, without much plot or character, but that doesn't clearly endeavor to result in arousal?

Today @SimonDoom posted this in another thread: "I'd like somebody to give me an example of what they consider a very good "stroker." Sometimes I feel like we're having a conversation about the White Whale, or Bigfoot. Everybody's sure that it exists, and they talk about it as though they know exactly what its properties are, but nobody ever gives evidence of a single example."

The highest quality stories that came to my mind were not "strokers," in that they didn't seem to be targeting arousal, at least not intense, pre-masturbatory arousal that one (I) associates with the term "stroker." @ElectricBlue's Melissa Works at the Hardware Store series. If it's not about sex, I don't know what it is about, but it's too elegeic to be clearly arousing. Hardly any plot or character. What do you call it?

As author of the stories mentioned, that's my term, too.

They're too short to be stories; they're little observational pieces with an erotic focus.

The Melissa series could also be called diary entries because that's what they are. Some folk are asking for a continuation, but they're missing the point that if I go to the store and she's not there, there can be no subsequent chapter because that next little bit of life hasn't happened yet.
