As I see it , we're talking about two basic notions, here. Tolerance and fear.
For me, another's orientation regarding their personal beliefs, does not become a problem for me unless it interferes with our relationship or until they try to force their beliefs on me.
Someone on the BB has asked about our attitudes toward lesbians. Mine is nuetral, as it is towards anyone who is different from me, unless prior cobtacts with them have raised the cautin flag for me. As a matter of fact, diversity of experiences and beliefs tends to make for interesting conversations and relationships.
Intolerance and fear will always be a glue that holds many groups of people together. That's just human nature. I really wonder what people are so afraid of??
