As the title indicates this thread is for people to post something they accomplished today-or recently- on lit.

It can be anything, a story you just submitted, a series you finished, a recently obtained Red H.

Did your story hit a certain number of votes, score, or number of comments. Was it your 25th story, your 100th.... Perhaps you hit a top list or some type of milestone number either personal or 'lit wise'

Or maybe as simple as "I wrote 2k today!"

But whatever you did, tell the class about it.

Chapter 3 of 11 of the GM historical novel "The Handyman" posted to Lit. today and I submitted chapter 4 to Lit. today. (And I'm 6,000 words into a story today that will appear on Lit. sometime next year--or maybe near Christmas if I get Christmas into it).

I did some research on my holiday story: Island of the Misfits: Rudolph Returns.

I remembered that I said that I'd post some of my material for a rewrite project.

I got lit up.

I reported elsewhere I completed a Halloween erotic horror tale about a woman who goes to a Halloween ball with her husband and meets a guy dressed like Dracula. He captures her heart and more.

It simply demonstrates my formula for writing erotic horror.

My third Halloween story - Whorehouse Chapel - is posted.

Another of my Halloween stories - Dead Voices - has been posted in a slightly edited version to sort out the name confusion early on, and a couple of wrong words.

Thank you Laurel for both.

I started yet another Winter Holidays draft and have had ideas for several more. Now that Whorehouse Chapel is out I can concentrate on Winter Holiday stories. But I don't want any more plot bunnies, please!

The Mountain will cross 12k readers today. Not bad for a romance in less than a week.
I will write 2k words today on The Runner.
I will read 2 more chapters of a friend's novel draft. Comments pending.
I will do something to earn money - damn job.

1) The last chapter of my 30 chapter first ever lit story posted this morning.

2). I didn't kill anybody before leaving my job this morning.

Nada. Zilch. Dim o gwbl. Nothing.

I have spent the day sleeping in bed though - woke up with no voice and a horrendous sore throat. Only got up for a small snack. I probably won't be able to sleep tonight now...

Would love to use this time to write, but when I'm off colour, my creativity usually vanishes too. :(

My story "That's what friend's are for" reached the thousand favorite milestone, putting it in the top 50 all time most favorited stories.

Started the quarterly track of my numbers.

Despite not posting anything this quarter, so far it looks like everything is at my usual median for activity. Up across the board on everything except average views, which is down slightly, and common when I don't put out a story during a quarter.

Wow! Congrats!

Thank you. I have to admit that story continues to surpass my limited expectations here. Its he only story I have ever written that is a flat out sappy romance(my other romances always had some depressing things in the characters past) and its become my most favorited story, the one with the most votes, closing in on the one with the most comments and won a contest.

Maybe I should write more stuff that makes me want to wretch.

For the first time in a long time, the other day I actually posted a story! I haven't been "in the mood" for writing a lot lately, but my muse got drunk or something and make me abuse the keyboard. Surprising to me, it's doing pretty good in the views and scores. Either I have fans or I hit a lucky streak...

Edit: Helps to update my .sig with the info, lol.

I tried to submit a story using this account. Didn't happen.

Pressing the PREVIEW button produced an ALREADY SUBMITTED notice. Uh no. You cant submit before preview.

So I used an alt account. No problems.

UPDATE: Laurel says let her know of any submit issues you have. Mine wasn't the Lone Ranger.

Congrats at hitting 1004 favorites. I didn't even know it is was possible.
Romance is not sappy, it is entertaining. I wish there was more romance on this site. Most of the best writing is in categories I don't care to read. I have to fish through 100 stroke stories to find one that actually contains an interesting plot. I will now read yours and maybe get you to 1005.

So I submitted a Halloween story today via an alt account. 2500 words.

A perfesser escorts his wife to the college Halloween Ball where she meets Dracula. He teaches a gothic horror course. Later in the night she meets him in her garage. The next night she goes to an old house out in the swamps where they meet again.

Their first encounter is so good she's hooked.

Its not frightening or gory. Coulda been crack or joining a bank robbery.

The noir tale is about 25K words. Say 7 LIT pages. I need to pare some of the sex from it. It's too violent for many. It may get lost in the novella category.

I did nothing much on Lit today except increase my ignore list from one to three to clean up my view of the General and Politics boards.

I've been too busy with visiting my physiotherapist and community activities.

But I have several hours left to write some more of my Winter Holiday stories - unless the family get in the way.
