What describes you

well.. no matter how much i try, i can't come up with just one song alone.. fortunately, all the songs that i can't seem to choose from are on one album:

The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails

now, when most people think of NIN, they tend to think of shock rock similar to Marilyn Manson, but The Fragile is nothing like that.. sure, it has some heavier songs, but most of it is...beautiful.. i don't know how else to describe it.. a lot of it is sad, a little bit mad, a little bit happy, and all of it comes from a deeply depressed person.. it's an aquired taste, to say the least, since a lot of it defies being labled as a particular type of music.. perhaps you have to be a little odd yourself to fully enjoy it..

what i am by edie brickell and the new bohemians

"i'm not aware of too many things
i know what i know
if you know what i mean

philosophy
is the top on a cereal box
religion
is a smile on a dog
i;m not aware of too many things i know what i know if you know what i mean

Philosophy
is a walk on the slippery rocks
religion
is a light in the fog
i'm not aware of too many things
i know what i kow if you know what i mean

choke me in the shallow water
before i get too deep

What i am is what i am... are you what you are.. or what"

Tool and Kermit...

Sober, by Tool

or

It's Not Easy Being Green, as sung by Kermit the Frog...

"Only Happy When it Rains" by Garbage

I'm just contrary. I've played Devil's Advocate more than Al Pacino. Feh. That joke's so weak, I'm keeping it in.

See what I mean?

"Don't jump off the roof dad
You'll make a hole in the yard
Mom's planted petunias
The weeding and seedig was hard
If you must end it all dad
Please then give us a break
Just take a walk to the park dad
Then you can jump in the lake!"

Sung by Max Bygraves English comic of long ago.

Mind you that's how I could be described today - tomorrow it'll probably be "Look out World here I Come"

indyweasel...I'm not, all the time, but I like how she describes herself as everything: I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother...

THAT's me :)

I can't believe you picked this song. Several months ago in a 'Erotic songs' thread, that is the song that I listed.
"I'm a tease, I'm a Goddess on my knees"

Now, I am picturing you...

Great way to start the day. Thank you.

tony

I don't let my kids listen to it, but I like it :) Glad I could help brighten your day. I guess that makes us even, sort of :) You do that for me all the time

Music can really describe the moment - but can it describe each person? Last summer I would have said "Get out the Map" - Indigo Girls, But lately it's been "Let You Down" - Dave Matthews. "Sunny Came Home" by Shawn Colvin probably best desribes my get to business/confidant nature. But now I just sound Schizophrenic...
