In *Unpopular Essays*, Bertrand Russell tells of seeing
a panic and stampede among elephants when an airplane flew
over.

"But," he says, "since there were no journalists among
them, they quieted down after the plane had passed."

LOL guess I'll save my smart ass answer to your question, that one was better

Oh..l i had a good comeback for that question..

dammit..

oh well i'll tell you anyway

What causes panic? The girlfriend saying.. "Honey, i'm late"

panic...

why is it they never show the way home pregnancy tests are really used? A gaggle of high school girls hoping not to get caught buying one, then using it in the bathroom with the boyfriend chain smoking and green around the gills?

Panic in me is waking to see sunlight streaming through the windows. (I work early a.m.'s) This feeling is usually followed by the sigh of relief that it's my ONE day not to wake to an alarm clock.

And the press gets worse and worse every day... I mean, not to make light of a serious issue - but more people die every day of the flu then have died in this whole Anthrax scare.

The press, in my opinion, has been completely irresponsible on this issue.

They've mentioned Smallpox a few times but thankfully they haven't obsessed on it.

Sending Anthrax to media types was a smart move on the part of whoever did it. First of all, it guaranteed coverage - and, because these guys are scrambling for something worth reporting and they themselves are a bit scared - they're making much TOO big a deal of it.

Again - its nothing to be taken lightly - but it isn't exactly a major offensive either. It needs to be dealt with, people need to be careful BUT the media needs to give us a break from 24x7 non-stop Anthrax coverage and discussions where all they do is reiterate the same damn things over and over and over again.

Maybe if they shut up for a while whoever is doing this might decide they're not getting enough bang for the buck.
