What BOOK can't you WRITE without?

"On Writing" by Stephen King is my bible, but I don't tend to use it as I write. Just read it every now and then for spiritual revival.

The Earl

Yep, me too.

I have to thank RF for putting me onto that one.

I also always have my WordWeb open. Free download of dictionary/thesaurus. I can't live without it.

Quilty, I've never consulted any style or grammar manual (got it all from the nuns). I do wonder what you need to look up, but you need not tell me. P.

In a word, everything. I am still in the process of learning the craft of writing fiction. Narrative fiction is a completely different animal than the expository writing with which I am better acquainted. I would also find it difficult to write without a Wifi connection, which eliminates the need for dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, anatomy books and the like. Wherever I write, be it in bed or sitting under a tree in my favorite local park, I am tethered to the internet.

No, it's a book about the post-war feministic approach to marine poetry, why?

Impressed.
