I'm reading a book that I waited 12 years for. The Shelters of Stone by Jean M. Auel from the Earth's Children series. What are you reading?

Oh!! Can I borrow it when you're done? How about you just read it aloud and record it for me. :D

Seriously tho, is it any good? I've been waiting for that one for eons as well.

Right now, I'm readin the Red Tent. I've read it before, several times, and finally broke down and bought it instead of borrowing it from the library. I'd much prefer it in audio form tho.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
Get your minds out of the gutter, it's not that kind of book.

Bridget Jones's Diary.

Yes, I'm behind in the bookclub reading. :)

"Exit to Eden" by Anne Rice, "The Testament" by John Grisham, and "Hero in the Shadows" by David Gemmell.

Oh God. That book had me laughing out loud in the airport. Funny as hell.

I'm reading Self Defense by Johnathan Kellerman at the moment.

Sweet Cherry, you will love this one it picks up right where the other left off.

Ezarc, I read that one too, have you read her erotic stuff? Very naughty indeed!

My first of her erotic work. My darling, Kitte, suggested it and loaned it to me. So far, so good.

I'm reading Actual Innocence, about the Innocence Project which works to get innocent people off Death Row using DNA evidence. Kind of intense, but interesting.

David Eddings Enchanters End Game

Good book. I have most of his in my collection.

Currently reading: THE TWO TOWERS by Tolkein
and BLACK HOUSE by Stephen King & Peter Straub

Just finished The Red Tent. Almost finished with theHobbit and have the LOTR series on deck. Just ordered The Shelters of Stone.

I just finished Into the Darkness and Darkness Descending by Harry Turtledove. I am going to pick up the last book in the series in a week or so.

I think the last book is called Through the Darkness.

The books are based on WWII but instead of technology the wars are fought with magic. Dragons are the airplanes and Behomoths are the tanks.

Very cool.

I started reading the Similarion by Tolkien a while ago but have kind of stalled out now. The language is very formal and bible like. Just hard to read through quickly.

i'm reading a book by douglas coupland called Miss Wyoming

i'm about 1/2 way through..and i love it! this book is awesome..super well written..and it was recommended by our very own IFB..

just finished mr. wilson's cabinet of wonder (thanks hammy! ) a few days ago. started fall on your knees by anne-marie macdonald over the weekend. so far, so good. very captivating.

look at me, the rebel using italics :D

I'm currently re-reading the Camber series by Katherine Kurtz.

Last week, I got sucked into the complete works of David Eddings -- the Belgariad, The Mallorean, the Eleniad, and the Tamuli series.

I read shelters of stone a week or so ago, and found it to be a bit of a disappointment -- Jane Auel tends to repeat herself a lot and gets "preachy" about how the primitive peoples cared for the Earth...

If you liked the first four books in the Earth's Children saga, you'll like Shelters of Stone, but don't expect very much that's new in it.

I've just finished the new one by Kathy Reichs "Grave Secrets" - absolutely fantastic. I can't wait for the next Harry Potter, but I don't seem to have much choice:( , and I'm reading the "Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan as he writes it.
