this is a thread of interests. some where for us to post thread idea's involving what we would be interested in.

for me i am interested in trying everything.
so please post what you are interested in and lets talk about it. perhaps we can get a small group and come up with a thread idea that would please us all.

mostly anime and video game characters...though i've been considering doing an RP similar to Enterprise.

lol ookies then. personally i would like to try some bdsm, rape, forced,so on and so forth. i am interested in it all. just trying to find my nitch in all of this. lol i also enjoy romatic threads a great deal.

blah blah blah.. i care little for spelling becuase i am so dang bad at it. so nah nah. anyways i thought of another thread i would like to do. a lesbian romance. that would be cool.

hmm...i think Tearsoftheworld was looking for a girl for one of those...dunno if she found one

Historical scenes (Napoleonic times for preference), a bit of the damsel in distress or love stories. *and the inevitable incestual scenes...depraved aristocracy and what not*

But open to suggestions should the story be good enough.

i like those threads also. by the way i just read a few of your posts and i LOVE your writing. your are very talented.

i just started an rp casting call based on a game that is one of my favorites...it's about a young ensign on a starship who gets transported from one planet to another while inspecting some strange machinery, against his father's orders. he helps a group of people from the second planet in fighting an evil force that is trying to destroy their world

 You are too kind my dear. And further your compliment is graciously accepted.

lol see.. just fantastic. i love it lol. and your most welcome my dear. i am looking forward to reading some more of your work.

The initial phrasing of my remark in this space may have been unkind. I should perhaps clarify a bit. What happens is less important than that something should happen. The people to whom these things happen ought to be characters in whom one has an investment, emotional or otherwise. The writing should evoke. There are of course good reasons for doing things some other way. The language is big enough for all.

The distinction between style and substance is to my mind artificial, but my own tastes these days run to experimenting with the architecture of a story.

I would like to try some alternate-history ones. I had two ideas for some time.

One, was based in the Ace Combat arcade games for the Playstation. War with Cold War armament, and the plot would be centered around the pilots in a war, with some heavy rooting of the story in that of the games (Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, and Ace Combat Zero).

Then there was one that I came up with just today. Command and Conquer: Red Alert. Basically, Einstein erases Hitler out of history and Stalin comes in charging with the red hordes. The players could be field commanders.

same here. all though i do enjoy the idea of hittler being erased lol.. but hey who wouldn't!! lol

I suppose I could reveal my own pet-project.

SRP based on the stories of Richard Sharpe. *swooning at the mere thought*

Hmmm....never heard of him. sorry. lol tell us a little about him lol if you wouldn't mind that is.

Of course I shall my dear

A story about an enlisted soldier in the British army. Starts in India in the late 18:th Century. A rogue with a heart of gold who manages to rise through the ranks and ends up a Colonel at Waterloo. Lots of historical charachters such as Wellington, The Prince Regent of Britain and Napoleon himself makes their appearence, as a lot of very elegant ladies.

(Sean Bean played Sharpe on film which doesn't make the prospect less appealing)

lol no i dont geuss it would. it does in fact sound very interesting.

Great discussion!

I've always needed story first and well-developed characters are integral to telling a good one. Beyond that, genre, place and time are incidental, in my opinion. You can take any two (or more) characters and set them where and when ever you like as long as you have a basic plot. Oh, but I do love unexpected twists!

Erm... I also need things to "make sense" in the threads I write. There has to be some sort of logic - even in my fantasy.

lol i agree 100 percent maid. by the way i am at my aunts house for awhile and unable to get on aol. but i can get on yahoo here so that is a plus. lol sorry about disapearing on you the other night. it is a long story i will tell you about it later in private.

hugs

I'm not a stickler for setting or anything. For me it's mainly about good writing which, personally, includes spelling and grammar.

lol i would DJ_Wordplay's worst nightmare then. lol i can not spell for anything. I actually have come to terms with it and thankfully there are people out there that can look past my ignorance and can enjoy my post's with out the perfect grammar and spelling. and let me just say THANK YOU to those few people. lol
