I mean, I've got nothing against romance. I've read tons of it, but I'm not generally reading it to get worked up, you know? When I was young I read romances for the sex, but as I got older and actually started having sex I read romances for the fighting. I used to love the torturous stories where the hero is a total ass and does the heroine wrong then has to come groveling back when he realizes his mistake.

Then I got older and I wanted him to screw up, do her wrong, grovel and then get left in the dirt while she waltzes off with a better man. Of course, I've only seen that happen in one romance novel ever so I'll have to hone my writing skills and tell that story myself someday.

But I don't come to Literotica for romance. No way. Give me hot, sweaty, balls-out kink and lusty swaggers. Leather and whips and gags and blindfolds. Strangers in alleys and gangs in poolhalls and ripped bodices and raunchy language and bizarre women's prison sentences.

My favorite categories to write for are gay male, erotic couplings, incest lite, lesbian sex, group sex, and whatever else doesn't include spastic cophrophilia and household appliances. Autoerotic does zip for me- unless I'm doing it to myself- but that's everyday reality. Who wants to write about it?

Here I'll add the caveat that I don't neccesarily like all the stories in those categories, and I often like stories in categories I wouldn't touch with a meathook and biohazard gloves.
