Having headed off in that direction in the last story I submitted to Literotica, I am working on a story in the Gay Male category, something which I had not attempted before. Am having the usual problem everyone has when they're writing a same-sex story in the third person--keeping one's pronouns straight and in line with their antecedents. Yeah, yeah, I know, discussions have been had about this problem before. However, unlike with other forums I've been in, it is not nearly so easy to go and dig up an old thread. In some ways, I suppose it's a good thing--the challenge makes one pay more attention to one's writing.

Well I am sticking with my original category, but am currently working on a sequel/part 2 and having a heck of a time. I did not plan on continuing the story and am now wondering if I've got enough leads to make an interesting enough part two. I can relate to the dilemma of pronouns and such but have learned a few tricks along the way to keep people straight (wow that pun came out of nowhere). ;)

Good luck and I've found that reading out loud helps wonders when dealing with whom is speaking to or describing whom.

I am working on 2 stories, both nearing the editing stages.

One features 2 women meeting in an exotic locale and sex on a beach.

The other is about a college co-ed and a Biker making thier way down to Nawlins for spring break.

:D Right now, I'm working on posting to this thread. Afterf I have done that and procrastinated a little more, I have about 20 stories in various stages of completion. One of them is gay male and there are also BDSM, celeb., novella, group, and some others. Some of them have been in progress since last spring. I tend to get a bright idea and start a story and then run out of steam and then get another bright idea, and sometimes something comes up that I have to ir want to finish quickly like "Tatelou Quits Smoking":)

Heehee. That made me giggle. :D

I'm writing the climax of a gun battle and warehouse fire scenario--sort of action-movie material. It's near the end of a very long project that many people are bugging me to finish. I'll be glad to wrap it up, but it's fun stuff to work with, even if the choreography is surprisingly difficult to make convincing.

I'm taking a break from my book and working on yet another lesbian story although I'm afraid some of the book themes have sneaked into my story :D

I have seven stories to finish... I'm not sure any of them will be completed, but it was while i was trying to motivate myself to finish one of them that I wrote my newest one, which I just submitted... into the romance category - I don't even read stories in that category but my writing has gotten so cheesy these days, I couldnt think where else to put it.

I think i need to write some erotic horror or something just to get me out of this mood but at the moment if my writing could be likened to a biscuit... then it would definitely be shortbread.. a bit sweet but nothing to get excited about lol :)

Instead of working on what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm working on two short(ish) stories. One's about a horny woman who gets lucky in a weird, comedic turn of events and the other is an ultra serious story about cynical dom who's in love with the wrong woman. They're totally different, yet I find myself putting them both up on screen and ping-ponging back and forth almost paragraph by paragraph.

Oh well, at least I don't get bored.

I'm trying to finish the fifth and final (?) chapter to "Ginger and the Twin Peaks," the sequel to one of my mildly popular stories. I also have the beginning of a BDSM story and several other ideas.

Away from Literotica, I'm revising an old musical composition and practicing country piano (a little weird for a synthesizer player, but very Austin).

I'm currently expanding my Matt Danger and the Case of the Bound Angel into novella-length, working from the inside out (working on chapter 2.5). I'm also involved in a sexual role-playing game which I hope will lead to a new novel.

I've also resurrected an old, unpublished piece on sex with the spirits of air, earth, fire, and water, but I may fold that into my erotic vampire book.

I've been playing with tarot cards as a way of coming up with ideas for stories. So far none of the ideas I've come up with have especially excited me, but it's pretty cool.

Oh doing a same sex story nearly drove me batty! And, not the sex parts, the he/he, she/she parts. I just did my first one. You (have) to name them and use thier names alot in third person is my only advice, cuz otherwise I get lost on which he is feeling which he's stuff. Or she!

Right now I am trying to finish a two book erotic novella. And ((why)), bangs head on table)) did I think I needed to make the last in this series a two book offering?? I must be nuts!

I'm working on real life small town politics. Three meetings this week and several letters to the press.

Gets in the way of real writing but this week is 'poetry' in my creative writing class. Dug out four old ones and wrote one new. The new one is rubbish and should get trashed by my fellow students.

I'll give them "The Garderobe" to irritate their aesthetic sensibilities.

I'm trying to whip up energy to clean-write a story for Letters & Transcripts, but most Lit-writing has been postponed right now, since my education has come into the most work-intense period. Exam's only a few weeks away!

Golly, I just woke up and am working on a pot of tea. Later I'll continue to instruct my bunny not to crap on the sofa.

You are all commendable and help inspire me to keep working on my novel.

Good morning, Perdita :)

P, you lazy bones! Good morning, lady. And has Petya been a naughty bunny?

Good luck on the novel! I'm going home today and can't wait to start writing again. It's been 4 days, OUCH!

Buen dia, Lucky lovey. I presume bunnies are made in Cutesville so that when they are naughty I can only laugh.

Luck doesn't help the novel, just space and time for me.

smooches, P.

A vampire novel called HIS BLOOD, though it's a bit slow going at the moment.

Although I never thought that I would write another serious story, that is exactly what I have been doing.
The first two chapters of 'What Kate Did' are pending with Laurel.

It is a story about a wife who has to agreed to make a handful of porn films in order to pay for her desperately ill sister's medical treatment.
Her husband is also on the set but no one is aware of their relationship. He is supposed to be a writer researching the porn industry.

I propose to submit it chapter by chapter as a number of people couldn't face reading my 13 Lit page opus,
A Modern Love Story

Hmmm,
Well I just finished a story and am currently waiting for it to be posted. It is part 1 of 3 but since I am simply a horrid manager of time, it's very hard to devote time for pleasure writing when it takes away from other more pressing writing.
but it's fun to write and get feedback like this site offers. :)

but it's just hard when you have pleasure writing like here, serious writing say as in a novel and then you have the "real" world of occupation. It can be very difficult at times to decide what is important.

Really long stories intimidate me and I suspect it's the same for many readers. It seems like such an investment in time and energy. Edited to add: I like to read a story or chapter at one sitting and a single full Literotica page is approximately 2500 words. That adds up quickly.

I usually write a complete long story, then break it into chapters. That lets me classify the chapters better, too. One chapter may be anal, the next is lesbian, then group sex . . .

I'm working on about five different projects right now.

I'm editing my first novel, Skin Deep - an erotic horror with a touch of Sci-Fi. I finished it a couple of months ago and it's 80,000 words long, so the entire editing process will take quite a considerable amount of time. Once the edits are complete I'll be sending it off to a few agents - a couple of whom have already expressed an interst in taking me on.

I've started work on a new novel. I'm only 10,000 words in so far, and this will be another erotic horror.

I'm writing an extreme erotic horror short. This story isn't for Lit, but for a horror writers' group I belong to. Ultimately it will be submitted to a print anthology.

I'm also currently editing chapter 6 of my Living The Fantasy series. Chapter 5 was completed and submitted last week.

I've also started a new BDSM series. It's in its early days right now, but promises to be something I can get my teeth into. Quite literally in some places.

Oh, and another thing I'm working on right now - I'm reading through many stories, with a view to placing them on my own site. This is all part of the network of authors mentioned in another thread.

Without wanting to sound pompous, arrogant, or having a go at anyone: I am walking the walk, not merely talking the talk. I must also add that I am a full time writer. I owe a lot to my husband (Adam), for allowing me the financial security and freedom to be able to do that.
