Been thinking more and more about how unlikely it is to have all of your needs fulfilled by one other person. Is it even a realistic expectation? I don’t feel like I can be everything for someone so why should I expect that from someone else?

I think people become so used to living in a a world of their own, with everyone having the same kind of jobs and homes and income and the same sorts of issues and challenges, and privilages, that it truly rocks their world when they find out something outside of it exists. I remember an aquintance being truly shocked and angry on my behalf that I had to work weekends. Because she had never known anyone who didn't work a 9-5 with weekends off type of job.
