What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I like what they did with In the Heights, with Christopher Jackson ( who originally played Benny) and Lin as the Mr Softee driver and Piragüero, respectively, with age appropriate actors for their original roles.

The stage version is far more intimate, I liked changing the scope of the film to a throwback, show-stopper style.
Yes!!!!! Again!!!!!!

How many people on here are actually nice people in real life? Not a dig or insult to anyone, just wondering if people here put on a show or whatever? 🤷‍♂️
I’m not any different here than I am offline. Of course, Lit gives less glimpses into work me, aunt me, etc. So the proportions are different, but that’s the only real difference.

Whether I’m considered nice is probably better answered by those I interact with though.

There's no way to describe the carnage from the LA fires. Perhaps this photo can help us understand how devastating the potential is. Taken at UCLA this afternoon.

My son sent me a video from his bedroom window this morning and it was just smoke moving across the sky. He said it just smells like smoke.
A direct quote from him - literally surrounded by three fires Pasadena, Palisades and the newest Sunset one “It’s like the pits of hell have opened up.”

Open and a good listener. It is a double-edged sword.

"No, I really don't want to hear about your trip to Thailand for hookers." - I actually had to tell someone that.
Infuriatingly, this wasn't a conversation I can just ignore, as much as I'd like to. It was at school with a new employee who had some very creepy things to say about some of the female teachers on the faculty. It was icky enough that it merits reporting.

Heck yeah, there are some people I'm happy to snitch on.

Oh heck yeah. I got a creep fired at my part-time job for making sexual comments to me about another employee. He was a supervisor. Reported it, followed up on it, pushed them until they let him go. Not a single fuck given. The bastard was gross.

why we decided to schedule hour long back to back meetings every Thursday is beyond me... I always have to pee so bad by the end of the two hours!!! I swear I suggested a 5 minute break in between but we have yet to actually do it. THIS MEETING NEEDS TO END!
At this point, I'm not afraid to just walk out of a long meeting when I need to go. If they can't be considerate enough to schedule formally or informally have a few minute (coffee, tea, pee) break, I take one anyway. So far no one has complained.

I usually do... just throw a brb in the chat. BUT - I didn't have to go until we had only a few minutes left and that seemed silly!

When I was a manager, there was an employee making comments about how I was sleeping with the owner and that's the only reason I had the job. Luckily, there was an employee who told me about how he talked about it far too much, with far more things to say than just that. I was able to take it to HR and remove him. I valued the employee who had the courage to come forward about that, and anyone else who has had the courage to do the same at their jobs. Good on you both

That was a satisfying shower. Once I get dressed, I think I'll step out for a little bit since it's so cold out and cool off
