Okay I'm sitting here listening to the rumble of thunder and reading the local paper online. I came across an article and just can't believe what I'm reading.
In the article they talk about three possible buildings being looked at for a downtown area.
All three of the proposed buildings are interesting looking but they make me shake my head more in fascination at the stupidity of people. You see the first building is a 1500 foot tall spire type tower. The second is a fifty story glass walled tower while the third is yet another fifty story tower. Are these people stupid? We're in the middle of Hurricane Alley and they want to build something like a Glass Tower or a Spire? Haven't these people learned from the damage suffered by other towers in the area?
Now the best part of the article was the comments made after it. People were talking about how we need something like this to improve our skyline, to show that we aren't a small town but should be ranked up there with New York or Miami. (Yeah right guys.)
