What am I doing wrong?

Thanks guys. I sent it in again useing Word but removing all formating and got it rejected again. This time the reason was the same "came through garbled" along with a longer explanation telling me to put parts of a conversation in different paragraphs... I had done that originally, but un-formating it... I don't even know. Technically, they are in seperate paragraphs, but with no spaces between paragraphs and no indents, I guess it didn't look like they were. (Does this mean that it wasn't nonsense, it just wasn't very easy to read because it was all bunched together?)

I have cut and pasted it into notepad, but I tried to upload that file rather than pasteing it from there to the text box. I guess I'll try that next.

I noticed the preview pane the last time I submited it and that looked fine. GRRRRR

Thanks for the tip on how to use italics... I was wondering about that.

Weird Harold is on the right track. I've found that when I'm writing in word, that I need to insert two returns at the end of a paragraph. I believe they use a modified html parser to read the stories, and a single return is ignored in such formats (a single return is seen as a potential word-wrap issue, whereas a double return is used to indicate not just a new line but a new paragraph). It also tends to get rid of double spaces.
