What am I doing wrong?

It seems as of late everytime I post something in response to a question and I offer my opinion it's taken in the worst possible way. I don't think I'm an expert but I don't think I'm a complete idiot either. If it had happened only once, I'd let it go but it seems to be more than that.

Why does it seem that some can post their opinions on here and everything goes smoothly. Others post and you'd better duck and cover.

What am I missing? This is discouraging.

Sometimes it's all about timing, the same comment that gets a "you rock" now gets a "you suck" four hours later.

From where I'm sitting you communicate very well, so don't take anything personally. Without tone of voice to guide us, a lot of what we say on this BB is misunderstood.

My advise for happiness here: praise the brilliant, ignore the ignorant, and learn to duck when the shit hits the fan!
