What would happen?

It is one of my favorite verses. I have a Folk Art Painting of it above my kitchen sink and another caligraphy work of it in my my loft.


I have said it many times on this board and I'm sure I'll say it again in the future. I normally bring it up only in threads where Christians are being attacked in some way. I am Christian and nothing you can say or do will change my faith.

I don't push my beliefs on others. I don't condemn others for what they do or don't believe (unless you have declared a holy war against me.) There is room in this world for all of us.

Define faith. If religion is what you are talking here, I would walk away unscathed. I have no problem saying I am an atheist. We are born, we live, we die. There was nothing before, there will be nothing after. Live and let live. Enjoy each moment as if it were your last. Be kind to your fellow man. Our purpose here on earth is to be kind, loving, to try to enrich the lives of those around us as best we can. That's my faith. Oh! Well then, maybe I'd be dead after all. You did say "or no faith at all" didn't you? Yep. I'd be dead too. I would die to defend my right to be faithless. Wasn't this country based on the right to freedom of (and ultimately "from") religion?

This question is too generalized and vague for me to be able to give any sort of good answer. It seems stupid to say that I would die for my lack of faith. Perhaps I would die for my right to think what I want, but to take a bullet in the head just for thinking what I do? No, thanks.

I am an atheist. Technically, I don't think it would make sense for an atheist to be put in a position of rejecting his/her rejection of god(s) in order to live. There would have to be a hell of a lot riding on this situation for me to want to die for my lack of beliefs. My family's lives, my SO's life, the fate of the world would have to be at stake for me to be so stubborn as to risk my life to stand up for nothing, which is basically what I believe in when it comes to higher powers and religions.

I tend to be light hearted most of the time but I have a twist for you what do you do when you faith denys you.

In Australia over the week end the gay and lesbian catholic Community wore rainbor Sashes and went to take commumion according to the reports every Major church refused them Commumion. Why because they are sinners.....Isnt a church supposed to welcome sinners ???

So they are Denied by their faith ironic is it not.

There is no objective prove for the the existence of any Gods/Goddesses, so the belief in them without any prove is faith.

Ponder this, if I were to belief that all the Gods/Godesses existed despite the fact that some of them say they are the only one God/Godess - what would that make me?
