I am not certain if this has ever been suggested but what about a writers challenge where the all characters/ protagonists, all involved, in the story are currently serving or are veterans? Most countries celebrate a Veterans or Remembrance Day.
Before we discuss the activities, let’s talk a little bit about WWI and the casualties of war on both sides before the Armistice was drafted and signed.
- World War I was fought for four years, three months and two weeks.
- It started on July 28, 1914 and ended on November 11, 1918.
- The war was fought in Europe, the Middle East, off the coast of North and South America, the Indian Ocean, China, the Pacific Islands and Africa.
In researching it is celebrated in April, June, and most in November with the culmination of WWII Nov 11th.
Thinking submissions could start in Oct 1st through the 31st with a announcement made Nov 11th.
It is close to coincide with Halloween but
