“The business is broken,” far-left Bloomberg accurately reports of Hollywood. Of course, Bloomberg isn’t interested in reporting one of the primary reasons the industry is in trouble. I’ll get to that. But in the meantime, Bloomberg does get enough stuff right to enjoy that part of it…

And then we learn that there will be fewer jobs for people who hate us: “Even though unions secured huge victories, writers and actors have returned to an industry that should have far fewer jobs.”

Allow me to address that not “recovered from the pandemic” BS. The pandemic has nothing to do with the current collapse of the movie business. This collapse is a direct result of a movie industry producing crap that no one outside of Oberlin’s Lesbian Society of Bitter Feminists wants to see.

Hollywood has a decision to make. Go back to telling good stories with compelling characters, or stay on their current path to failure.

Do you know why Hollywood and the movie industry is struggling?

Naturally, Rightguide is quick to assume it's because Hollywood movies suddently aren't racist enough, or homo/transphobic enough, for his tastes.

Real reason is this:
Average price of a movie ticket: $22-25 (20 years ago it was only around $10-15.)
Average price of a small drink: $5.00
Average price of a small popcorn: $10.00-$12.00

Basically, Nobody wants to be ripped off.

Also, you are seeing more and more of these Marvel Superhero type movies, big on special effects, short on story line, and very few of them are memorable in any way. People are tired of that shit. It isn't, as Rightguide suggests, because they "Aren't Racist Enough" for his taste, or have some kind of political agenda, since he obviously obsesses about that stuff.
