What a great thread this has turned out to be. It has really brought out many aspects of the sexual experience. Love and lust, which can be separate or combined in one relationship, to me are almost like the difference between the mind and the body in a way. The body can physically lust for someone - who in your mind you know you could not possibly live with on a day to day basis. While love goes beyond just the physical aspect, it is finding someone who you can relate to on an intellectual level, who stimulates and challanges you mentally. With love there is mutual respect and working through the everyday hassles because you want to stay with that person. And when you find both, it is more than the sum of the parts, the physical attraction to someone who you respect and love makes sex more meaningful, a connection between two people rather than a physical act.

There is also the underlying topic of communication in sex. I think as we get older we are more comfortable in telling our partners what we want or don't want. And listening when our partner tells us what gives them pleasure. Part of the secret of good sex may be enjoying the activity while your doing it. If you have the attitude of ok I'll suck your cock for a while, you are not going to give a good blow job. However, if your goal is to give pleasure and to hear your partner moan and you enjoy it you bound to meet your goal.

This was a mistake woody. I hit the post key instead of the post reply. Once again could not delete the message and have contacted lit to see what my problem is. This is for the over 40 thread and has been reposted there.
