Um. Apparently what the good little witch really needs is a closer look at the rules for the holiday contest. Ah, well. It'll still be there next year.

A  from the day late, dollar short once again good little witch.

Oh dear.
You have my sympathy. . . .
I have one from Halloween 09 .

You need a watch for Christmas. One with a calendar on it.

Ah, yes. I have one of those, too. It's been a work in progress with the last work on it some time in 2010.

Thank you. It's not the end of the world, but it is terribly annoying. It was by no means a real contender, but since I haven't felt like writing at all, it was my ticket back in the game.

No. I have a perfectly fine calendar ~ it has kittens on it. What I didn't have was the realization there were TWO dates on that page. I remembered the December 14 date, but that was the date the winner would be announced, not the deadline for entering date.

Ah, well. I'll be ready next year and I already have an inkling of a story for the Valentine's Day contest. The deadline for entering's March 1. Right? :cattail:

Only if this is a leap year

I'm writing my valentine's entry, editing my summer lovin story, cussing about not getting back 'two' entries from my Editor on time for this winter holiday contest. Wondering... if I should just hold them to next year and trying to finish four other stories that I wanted to get done and posted before new years.

And I just ran out of coffee.

It's been that kind of a week

Ah, but this year WAS a leap year. It's next year I'm concerned with. Unless one can enter a contest retroactively.

Sympathy. I did the same thing with my Halloween entry, submitted it on the announcement day. So annoying!

Luckily, I noticed the date before that. I'll keep it in a file someplace and dust it off in plenty of time for next year. What's most upsetting is that I haven't really felt like writing much and this was going to be my first step back into the fray.

C'est le vie!
